Shillelagh's Pub

This is a super-dependable neighborhood watering hole. It's a casual crowd and the place fills up quickly around dinner time. Great variety of dishes, amazing appies, awesome happy hour deals, and friendly service. The pizza rolls & dry ribs are insane! Great view of downtown Calgary from the upstairs patio.

The food was delicious but the service was by far the worst I’ve had in Calgary before. Ignorant and snotty waitresses. Definitely didn’t feel like a neighbourhood pub because of the waitresses being horrible to customers.

Had my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party with 50 people upstairs and everything was great! The bar staff were very attentive and accommodating, the food was tasty, and Ian, the manager, was very patient with my mom's queries and requests. My parents had an amazing time!

Wonderful Pub Grub. Will be back for sure, new to area. The burger was thick and juicy, the cheddar cheese was MELTED on the burger, and the mushrooms were thick and well grilled, you could actually see them. I love butter lettuce. Fries were crisp yet soft. And only $16.50!! Server was super friendly ambiance was great. Met an old friend there so clientele could be of a higher standard!!!

Started with loaded taters. They were very tasty but not worth 13 bucks. Still yummy though. Gf got the bison burger. Bison was cooked well but the bbq sauce was too sugary. Needs something to offset the strong sweet. She still enjoyed it quite a bit. I got the southern fried chicken burger. I really liked it. Wish it had more sauce. Maybe more hot sauce or ranch even? I dunno. Was very satisfied with the meal. Price for burgers was average. Service was great. Our server checked in often, refilled when needed and was really kind. Would definitely go back for seconds.

Had a pint of IPA and the fried fish sandwich with onion rings lunch special. Amazing food. Cooked perfectly crispy on both cases. Our server was polite, friendly and attentive. Great pub. Great prices. Not one complaint!

Ordered boneless wings and potato skins to start and they were great. We then decided to have the steak sandwich special. We ordered 3 medium rare steaks and all 3 came out well down. Waited to show server who apologized and said she would pass along. No suggestion to prepare a new steak or to offer a replacement. She returned a bit later to say the manager agreed to take 25% off of the steak meals. He did not come by the table or acknowledge the problem. We took the steaks home to our dogs. What is wrong here? This is the nightly special. Why doesn't the establishment care enough to visit our table and come up with an acceptable solution. We paid $90 with tip not the servers fault. We got a measly $8 deducted from the bill. We live in the neighborhood and won't likely be returning anytime soon.

Great service, cheap prices and Wednesday wing night is awesome! Good selection of rubs and sauces, have had a few other items on the menu and they were great pub food too. Clean and comfortable surroundings

My wife and I were looking for a place for good chicken wings. A family member suggested Shillelagh's. We were pleasantly surprised to find they had "Appy Hour" on from 4-6pm. Wings are only $5 per plate during this time and 0.45 cents per wing on Wednesday's. There are another 4 items on the "Appy Hour" menu that also receive this promotion. We ordered a bunch of wings, potato skins and plantains wrapped in bacon. The food was all very delicious! They were short staffed when we went, but the waitress was very efficient, fast and friendly! Also, the manager came by to check on how we were doing he also did so for other tables and was very friendly. We received great service all around! Very good food! Excellent Service! Friendly Staff! 5 stars! Would recommend this pub to anyone!

Was there and had the wings and they were cooked well but they had no flavor. I ordered a few different types but they were kind of the same. I liked the pub and the atmosphere was good. I will try another time and see how the next visit goes.
