My family has been going to Sherwood Forest since 1987. I enjoyed our summers camping there as a kid and now I'm able to bring my own kids there. There is always a lot to do, holiday weekends are so much fun with dances, parades, flea markets and more. We really like that there is a kitchen where you can get burgers, chicken strips, pizzas and of course ice cream. Yes, there are occasional issues, but it's a quite larger than average campground with mostly volunteers running things. We've been there 30 years and have no plans of leaving.

MY PARENTS PURCHASED THIS PLACED IN 1982 WHEN I WAS BORN AND CANT BELIEVE HOW TREASURED THIS PLACE IS TO COME DURING THE SPRING SUMMER AND LASTLY THE FALL MONTHS TO CLOSE UP, AND ALSO FROM BEGINNING JUST RELAX AND GET A PIECE OF MIND FROM WORK AND THE CITY LIFE. FISH, BOATING, WALKING, BIKE RIDING, YOU NAME IT. ITS PEACEFUL WITH GREAT GREAT NEIGHBORS FROM THE BEGINNING. WHEN WE NEED PEACE AND QUIET, AND A PIECE OF MIND, WE ALL AS A FAMILY BOND TOGETHER AND PAY THE YEARLY FEE AND COME UP AND BOAT AND JUST RELAX. AS A MINORITY FAMILY WE APPRECIATE THIS RESORT SINCE THE 1980'S AND CONTINUE TO RELY ON THE PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT OF SHERWOOD FOREST STAFF, AND GREAT NEIGHBORS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD UP OUR RESORT FOR EVER. The amenities are nice for the patrons. Seems like there is always something going on for the kids. Its definitely a golf cart community :)

Lot's of trees, liked the park very much except: Too many very young kids driving golf carts and 4 wheelers. Have seen park owners get sued after accidents with under age kids driving.

Great People, they just need to work on pleasing lot owners. Their Mini golf course is a wreck, they did not have the volleyball or basketball nets up last time I was there. Pools close at dusk because they forgot to put lights in the pools! They also are really bad at turning the water on for the pre-camping season!
