Aitkin Campground (Aitkin County Parks)

Very nice campground at an affordable price. The bath house was clean and camping by the river was a plus.we were coming back from two harbors heading back to alexandria and decided to stop in the middle. While searching on line we found this campground. Very glad we stayed. My wife even saw a black bear by the campground!

Vey nice place. They don't seem to check on things often though like the restrooms and there is a lot of traffic cars just driving in and back out

We have camped here twice this year. Once in August 2016 and then again in October 2016. If you want a place that is beautiful, peaceful and quiet this is the place to go. We absolutely love going here. Small campsite, spread out so you aren't sitting right on top of each other. The bathroom facilities are extremely nice. Very clean. My only suggestion would be to put in some sort of a play ground for the little ones in the big grassy area. That would of been very nice for our grand daughter and grand son that came with us. Overall though I would highly recommend this campsite and we will definitely be back next year!
