About

Barnacles Resort is located on the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake in Central Mn.

Story

Barnacle's Resort offers a variety of services designed for the true fisherman whether it is winter or summer.

In the winter months, we offer full-service ice fishing which includes ice house rentals or use of your own privately owned ice house. We also offer daily lake access for wheel houses or if you prefer we have several different packages available. For snowmobiles, we have convenient access to groomed trails.

In the summer we offer a summer fish house park with or without electric hook ups for your ice fishing house. If you don’t have an ice fishing house with us you can take advantage of one of our summer fish house rentals. We have two shower houses (1 is open year round), two RV parks, campsites, fish cleaning shack, boat launch, 60 boat slips in our protected boat harbor with dockside gas available.

Barnacle's also has a bar and grill open Wednesday 4-9, Friday 4-9 and Saturday 11-9. On/Off sale liquor available. If you like golfing, we are located less than a mile from Wealthwood Estates.

We stopped in to the bar at Barnacles to meet friends that were staying on Mille Lacs for ice fishing. The meat raffle happened to be going on so that was a nice added surprise. The guy who runs and moderates the meat raffle is awesome - he is full of energy, does all the work himself, and really makes it a lot of fun keep him around. The bar itself is nice and big, with plenty of seating. We had a great time!

Loved the woman who served us a drink at this clean friendly Tavern plus Restaurant & don't forget the Resort on this BEAUTIFUL LAKE MILACS SCENIC drive that i took July 31 2018. The bartender was a very nice woman we talked about the hotel they also have there the lot prices etc...she was very informative & I felt very honest enjoyed my drink talked to a couple patrons that were staying at the Resort also. Every one from worker to patrons seemed relaxed easy going & I think it would be fun to stay there for the weekend. There are many close small resorts around that you could walk or drive to. The shoreline at Barnacles is very clean & a nice view. Didn't get to see the hotel rooms...I'm thinking that they are clean as the bar was. Reasonably priced only $10 more on the weekends. Renting a spot for your RV was reasonable also.
Just made reservations for renting a fish house. Haven't started yet but if you are a no frills person it is very inexpensive. They allowed my dogs too!
We stopped for a drink on our way around the lake. They have a hotel & you can bring your campers & rent spots to park it or your RV. Very nice people clean bar & eating establishment....beautiful lake view & beach.
Decent burgers. Bloody Mary's were great if you are looking for one without all the gimmicks. Service was so-so. Can't say there is much better in the area.
Will never go there again. I grew up going to this place and gets worse every year. The bartenders are rude and they only care about the locals.Service: 1/5
Owners son Jr. is unstable and scary to say the least. He screamed and cursed at multiple customers including children during our short stay. Understaffed and poorly run, would NOT recommend.Service: 1/5
