This is a great court. I'm out there often for DUI, DV and Retail Fraud cases. Clients from day one are able to change the story of their case with the prosecutor and the judge due to my proactive program. I am very selective in who I take on as a client, but the clients I have represented in this court, and have been treated very fairly.

Today I went to court and got to watch individuals who were "accused" of violent crimes get off on $5,000-$7,500 bonds @ 10% cash surety while a confessed "nonviolent" drug addict was given a full $10,000 bond. I don't know what bothers me more... the fact that violent police court issues are less serious at 41a or that it is cheaper to get out of pulling a knife on someone at 41a than being a drug user.
I guess they just figure the drug users are good repeat profitable business. Especially when they make it literally 10 times harder to reach those around them for comfort and assistance with their personal struggle. Today's events put a thorn in my side about how this court handles it's business. (Because it is a business run by attorneys instead of judges.

I've been there twice and the court is okay, its not that bad. Waiting can be a bit frustrating if you sit for over 40+ minutes. The judge however is pretty generous, he offers solutions if possible, nice and kind guy but thats *one* judge. I do not know the others. The cops dont like to show up which is a good thing when you try to "win" a case. ...but pigs are always pigs and can be assholes sometimes, especially the ones who hangs out on packs. Anyway, the court's management is good though. They do try to make things easier when you get there. That is all.
