Patch crews filling pot holes have no sense of pride in their work. They scoop way too much and just dump it. Don’t take care how much the hole needs or where it lands. The crews make no effort to flatten down the asphalt and leave loose asphalt everywhere. Groesbeck and North Ave were recently patched and are worse than before! Mounds of asphalt that was dumped are basically speed bumps now. PLEASE revisit how pothole work should be done. Other counties such as Wayne seem to have no problems making the roads smooth after quick repairs.
We have had a draining issue for a bit. We contacted the road commission to see if they could help us out. They responded fairly quickly and came up with a fix for the issue. We were contacted every step of the way. They finished today and did a great job! Thank you so much!
The engineering department is horrible. Going east bound near Mound, they eliminated a turn around, so now all the traffic can back up at the northeast corner of 16 and Mound, which has been a problem for many years. On top of it, the way they plan construction on roads is terrible. Let's just work on all the major roads at once in one square mile. Remember, your votes do count, and we need to keep in mind all the damage and suffering this has caused us.
23 mile road between I94 and Jefferson has more tar snakes on it than actual road. When on a motorcycle they are like riding on ice. Meanwhile they’re out there again a week later adding even more tar patches. I have almost crashed my bike making a left hand turn because my tire slipped on a tar patch. This road was fine to drive on before the road work and now is a public safety hazard.
In the last few years you guys in Macomb County on the roads do a horrible job of maintaining the roads! Can’t believe you shut down Groesbeck and Hall Road did work on the intersection and made it way worse than before you started shame on you! Any of you think these statements aren’t true I have pictures and locations where there’s been potholes on Groesbeck a county road for over one year never maintained everybody would hit it don’t tell me otherwise shame on you!
North River Road at the end on Sunrise Island is one of the worst roads in Macomb County and it has been for years. At best they patch holes once or twice a year and the patches are useless within a few days!
Useless supervisor. Pretty much all of the issues I'm having with my ditch and culvert are my issues our my issues and not the road commission. Culvert is 10 years old but per him my culvert is bad. Good hired help is so very hard to find including supervisors
My 80 year old neighbors house! Calling for over 5 years to get road fixed. All the road commission will do is throw tar down. Absolutely pathetic! One day, she is going to fall getting her mail! Other streets were fixed in my neighborhood that were not that bad! Value of our homes are going down with the street looking like this!
Macomb county road commission....a great bunch! They are always helpful and respond to the needs of the community. Keep up the good work.
Metro Parkway looks like Germany after world war 2. It’s looked this way since the mid 2000s and continues to be neglected. As our leaders, at what point do you look at yourselves and say, “we have failed to uphold the values, responsibilities and due diligence bestowed upon us by the voters? Potholes, cheap asphalt, uneven lanes, these hazards leave the average tax payer wondering if it’s incompetence, poor planning, or corruption that has led us to drive on such dangerous roads. Certainly it isn’t lack of tax dollars By The People.
