The shawarma was good but not excellent. Very small wraps with basic pita bread … should be three dollars cheaper in my opinion.nnAlso a messy place to eat inside where the tables are not cleared fast enough… they are busy !nnLady at the register was friendly.nnPS don’t understand the garlic potatoes. $7.50 for potatoes… smh
I recently ordered from Shawarma Palace on Rideau Street, and I must say, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered a chicken wrap and a plate with garlic potatoes, but they completely messed up my order by giving me someone else’s beef wrap. To make things worse, they forgot to include the garlic potatoes that I specifically asked for.nnI also ordered a chicken plate with all the fixings, including garlic sauce and hummus. To my disbelief, they left out the garlic sauce, which is practically the heart and soul of any good shawarma plate. How does a shawarma place forget the garlic sauce? It’s beyond frustrating and shows a lack of attention to detail.nnWhat made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. The whole team seemed more interested in laughing and making jokes in their language than actually paying attention to the customers. It felt like they didn’t care at all about the fact that I was paying good money for this food.nnThe lack of professionalism and care in both the food and service was extremely disappointing. Shawarma Palace, you really need to step up your game and start treating your customers with the respect they deserve. We’re not paying for your jokes and incompetence; we’re paying for good food and good service, which clearly wasn’t delivered.nnDefinitely won’t be returning anytime soon.
The best shawarma I have had in Canada. It’s hard to find anything close to this in Toronto/GTA. The staff are all very nice, and lots of ample seating for dining in.nnMy usual order is the chicken shawarma wrap/sandwich, a side of potatoes and extra garlic sauce. Their toum is truly outstanding and I smother everything with it.nnLove the pita they use to double wrap the sandwich, towards the end it does break a part a little bit so I recommend to keep it wrapped with the wrapper.nnShawarma Palace is always on my list to eat at whenever I’m in the Ottawa area!
Shawarma here is absolutely top notch in terms of flavour and quality. Plates are $20+ but the portions are gigantic you can easily share one plate between two people. Pita comes on the side as well in case you need to fill up on extra carbs. Extremely clean interior - it was very pleasant to dine in. Food is served quickly. Great spot for a quick bite especially if you are craving Shawarma.nnNote: It may be a bit harder to park only street parking due to its location.
One of the best shawarmas I've had in Canada. Take into account that portions are huge. The Shawarma plate is for 2 people, for sure.nnThey have a varied menu, with different options, including vegetarian. We all know shawarma places don't tend to be the prettiest places to take a seat and eat. I'm not going to say that this is a super nice restaurant, but it is totally fine to seat and eat there. The space is big, they have baby highchairs, and you can tell they have made a great effort to create a good atmosphere, and maintain a clean space. Better than many fast food restaurants.nThe service was excellent, they all are super nice.nThey also have a parking space which is a great plus.
