Shawarma Ave

All the service crew were great and knows what they’re doing. Fast and accurate service. Clean dining area with a few chairs and tables. I ordered a large Beef Donair wrap with their famous Sweet and Sunshine Hot sauce. The wrap was big, good enough for two! The sauce was very delicious and that makes it different from other shawarma places. Only issues we had is the parking area, there’s none so we just ordered take-out. Coming back next time!

Very friendly and welcoming staff and the food is just so fresh and incredible. I got the falafel wrap and my friends got the chicken shawarma and kafta wraps. The falafels were super yummy and fried fresh! We all enjoyed every last bite of our meals. Make sure you try their sunshine and suicide sauces also!! The restaurant was kept very clean and tidy, and same with the kitchen. By far my favourite shawarma joint in Calgary!

We always walk here for our Halloween lunch, I got the large beef donair with every topping, hummus with garlic spread and sweet sauce with garlic sauce. The large size is an excellent portion, I could still finish it but smaller appetites could have it for two meals! The beef was well seasoned and everything else was delicious. I tried a bit of the chicken too and it was well marinated. Highly recommend stopping by here for a bite.

We got their large beef shawarma. It was good but not impressive tbh : I've had better shawarmas. Dietary restrictions: Halal

Food is flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Prices are reasonable but portions are a tad bit smaller than other shawarma joints. I am still a fan and would recommend.

Excellent quality of food and sitting area is also available for a quick stop! Parking: Parking is a bit hard to find but go to the back alley and you will find one forsure.

I've been to Shawarma Ave mutiple times now. In my opinion they have the best tasting beef donair in Calgary. Portion size is great, lots of meat, great value overall. Low key place, pleasant staff, pick up and go, also a few tables to eat in. I highly recommend.

I have thought about this review for a couple of months but it still bothers me. I LOVED this place pre-pandemic. The food and service was so wonderful. I returned before Christmas and ordered a salad, drinks, a side and a wrap for my children to share. My bill was $29 and I tipped $6.50ish I didn't intent to tip that much but accidently hit a wrong button and figured since they were always so nice what the heck. The guy charged me then I moved down to the salad bar. The woman asked me if I wanted this and that, and I said "sure, I'll have some of everything" meaning everything it comes with. She glared at me. Then she glared intensely at the young man who charged me at the till. He walked over and she said something I couldnt understand to him in an annoyed tone and he promptly ran away like he was embarrassed. He returned a moment later and informed me that my salad doesn't come with "everything" but they'll give me the additional couple of pickled items this time anyway. I clarified that I was happy to receive whatever it came with. I really just meant that she didn't have to inquire whether every item is OK with me. It ruined the entire meal and experience for me. This interaction made me feel like they thought I was some cheap jerk trying to get more than I paid for. And to tip someone that much who does the same style work as Subway who dont even get tips....for her to get that blatently rude over a few cents of pickles like that... sadly I won't be going back again.

Best Shawarma in the City!!! Amazing staff and perfect food, i love the chiken Shawarma wraps. Its good quality and good price, its so good infact me and my family have to split 2 large wraps and its still too much! I think you should defenitly try Shawarma Ave<3Food: 5/5
