I celebrated a special occasion with my parents this afternoon and we had a great lunch! We liked the tiger prawns so much we ordered not one, not two, but three servings! The grilled romaine was a recommendation from our wonderful waiter and it was delicious. The spinach pasta was also phenomenal. Overall, a great place to eat and took some wonderful pics for the gram. I’ll definitely return!
We came here for brunch, and all the food was unbelievable because it was amazing! We ordered Eggs Benedict with Smoked Duck Breast and Yellowfin Tuna Sandwich with Green Salad. Be sure to ask for more ketchup to have with the fries. And their beautiful decoration must be on the list to visit this place. The service was amiable and satisfactory, and we were delighted to have a great experience here. I definitely will be back to have their dinner soon. Highly recommend!
I loved their brunch, very accommodating by letting me have both options when it’s one or the other for their menu item. The food was delicious as well and the decor is amazing, very aesthetically pleasing. My only complaint is that they only had one person working on the floor with 4-5 tables and it took forever to flag them down for drinks and ordering. But I guess to cut costs, that’s understandable. I would come back here again, wouldn’t mind trying their dinner menu as well.
From start to finish, I am absolutely pleased with ever aspect of Orchard. The pork belly is perfect. I had it with the honey roasted carrots and it was a perfect way to recover from my travel to Calgary. My server was very polite and professional. I highly recommend eating here and trying the drink menu also as it's delicious also. Along with all this goodness the design and ambience is spot on. Thank you!
Overall had a pretty good experience. We were celebrating a special occasion but the server never asked so I guess that was a bit of a missed opportunity. The atmosphere is unbelievably beautiful - cool chandeliers and hanging plants everywhere. A lot of very cool details in the atmosphere, aside from being almost smothered by a plant really close to our table. I would consider it a pretty big step in the wrong direction to not offer, or even be able to offer a beautiful menu. They have those smart phone scan things but we were there for over half an hour before we finally managed to procure a not so presentable paper copy of the menu. It was laughable and totally started the evening on the wrong foot so hopefully the business will get it together with offering actual menus in the future. Food wise I was pretty impressed, except with the pork belly appetizer. It was pretty soft and not a great texture. The duck dish was quite awesome and the seafood dish was good too, just a little small/too light/could have used more bread or some kind of starch. Dessert was good, the chocolate cake was so tiny and kinda like a dressed up version of a hostess wagon wheel. Not bad by any means, but my BF had to get more food when we got home because the portions were so tiny - and we had 3 courses! I guess I share quite a bit of of criticism due to my high expectations, but this place was pretty cool spot and a solid 4 stars, and I'm definitely grateful to experience it. Food came out quickly, just a bit light on portions.
We had been at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our last visit. This time left a lot to be desired. We were a party of 6 and watched as smaller tables were treated with more care and attentive servers than we were. When our small plates and veggies arrived with no serving utensils we were all surprised. Our utensils were changed and new plates given for the mains and still no serving cutlery. We tracked our server down and asked for some and when we mentioned about what had happened she said “ that’s not our policy and I’ll track down what happened” we told her who it was that brought our food out and then it was “ oh that figures, he doesn’t really do this that often.” Food pictures below- the beef tartare is lacking a lot of flavour. We ordered it before and wanted to give it another try. No change still bland.
It was very pleasure to have a lunch there. All of my friends were very satisfied. During the last 3 weeks, I went to Orchard again, in fact weekly basis. Still excellent server for my daughter’s birthday and my friends. However, I, my daughter and my another friend who were before noticed foods are getting saltier. I think this restaurant is gem of Calgary. Very tasty vegan foods as well as creative, innovative menus. However one of charming point of this restaurant was offering not so salty foods and little bit sad that the factor is fading.
Interior is brilliant, plants and chandeliers create beautiful ambiance. A lot of nice details that make the place look tasteful and well considered. Beckoning cat cocktail was just perfect! Very smooth and light. However I would not recommend Hi, I’m Pete if you don’t like strong drinks, tasted like pure bourbon. Food was good but nothing outstanding. Unique and charming place, definitely coming back.
Had fathers day brunch here with the kids. The kids loved it. Was fun. Atmosphere is good with lots of plants. My daughter noticed lots of eco friendly things. Our friend who had dietary restrictions was very well accommodated. I highly recommend giving this place a try.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere was indeed casual elegance. Had a great business dinner here with a few associates. Great ambiance and vibe. Staff were friendly and non-rushed. The menu was simple and on the smaller side so very easy to navigate. Cocktails and food were cooked to perfection and I found it to be reasonably priced.
