Ray is the best!!! He is the icing on the cake as he has taken this resort to a new level, in many ways. All the controllable improvements he wants to make, and has made already are very noticeable! We have stayed here over last three years, numerous times each year. We honestly feel the location cannot be better as we enjoy the water, boating, beaches, and overall area. Ray has clearly embraced the full potential that this campground has and is committed to giving it has all! From checking in to checking out, and all in between…….I give it a number 10! He is visible, accessible, and extremely pleasant, and appears to know many of the campers by name, which completes a more overall personally welcoming stay! Keep up the good work, and we look forward to more future visits! All your hard work this year is very noticeable! Thank you!
My family and I have been coming here for years and have been seasonal for two years. This year has been such an amazing experience. The staff is well trained, pleasant and accommodating. Ray has been such a great addition to the resort. Ray and his team have gone above and beyond to help us out when needed. They started running more events like corn hole tournaments and movie nights. My son and nephews absolutely love coming here. The grounds have been so well maintained this year. Thank you so much to Ray and his team- you all have been amazing and are doing such a great job. We will be back next season too!
A nice, mid-sized park with a bunch of amenities should you choose to use them. Our site 112 is huge, flat and could easily accommodate any size rig. Nice Gravel pads. The only down side is that they don't have full hook ups. Just water and electric. They do have a complimentary pump out every four days though.
Great location in Old Mystic. Sites are bigger than any other campground I’ve been to. Manager Ray and his staff work so hard and go out of their way to help. Bathrooms are very clean. Some weekends they have bands and other events like adult pool parties. Came for a weekend decided to stay for the season and will definitely be here again next season! Don’t let full hookups be a deterrent they pump you out every four days. They have mini golf and pickleball courts to use also. Come to Sun Outdoors Mystic you will love it!
First of all we have stayed at several Sun Outdoors throughout the US and all have been a 4 to 5 rating. Sun Outdoors Mystic however is the example on how to score 2 stars. We had planned a family outing and requested the pavilion, unfortunately the front desk selected a RV spot as far away as possible from the pavilion. The RV spot was in #1 location which is a horrible spot, muddy, way to small for a 31 foot 5th. I would have understood during peak season, but there were numerous spots open all around the pavilion the entire week. Next they are supposed to provide a automatic waste pump out every 4th day never happened, when I asked the front desk they said you were on the schedule and that was that. They did say I would get it the day after I was to be checked out! I ended up checking out 1 day early no credit, and paid for full hook ups that I did not get no pump out. I could go one and add more on the rued person working the reception desk that Saturday as my family quests checked in, but enough said.
Bathrooms were terribly dirty standing water terrible, NO SEWER HOOK UP, very short staffed, one of the staff members was terribly rude. On a holiday weekend there were no events for kids. When they did schedule events they were canceled. Wifi was terrible, Would not go back. The park is not kid friendly at all. Place has gone down hill since Sun Rv bought the Park.
Are group campers have been coming here for for the past few years and let me tell you this pasted weekend was absolutely horrible, the Manger of the park told one of my fellow campers if he didn't like the way thing are at the campground he could pack up and go home,this is absolutely disgusting for a Manger of a campground to say to any guess. None of the gates were in proper working order cars and trucks were speeding threw the campground on the dirt roads where there were speed limit signs posted everywhere. The playground and bacci ball court were overgrown and not well kept. I suggest if you're going to camp somewhere down in mystic don't camp here
Pool was great! However no shade at the pool and no umbrellas either....with a lovely sign blaming customers for misuse. No firepit wood available for days, during our stay in July 2022. No pool table, store or exercise room open after 5pm, in high season. The only treadmill was out of service. No tether ball no bocce ball. Limited cable had no news stations. It wasn't like this years ago.
Nice place, no sewer hookups. Overly expensive for no sewage. A few trees, clean facilities and a public gas grill. No complaints about what is here just what is missing.
Perfect spot for my Two day stay... Super Friendly and Helpful Staff, the area is Truly Lovely and I really appreciated the Thunderstorms that rolled through as well as the Foggy Moonrise and the commuting Geese!! THANX!!
