The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. The crab and cheese bites were amazing. The cod was not that great. The batter was really amazing, but the fish inside was tough and chewy, almost the texture of chicken breast. This was the first time I've eaten there, so maybe it was an off day, so I will definitely give the place another chance because of how friendly everyone was there.
Definitely my fav for fish and chips in Surrey. If you don't know about this place, I understand as it is easy to miss and kind of just blends in. Honestly one of the best place to enjoy fish and chips. They had a special today for haddock and gave that a shot along with some calamari and clam chowder. Haddock was soft, doesnt break apart easily and was pefectly cooked. Best part was having chunks of haddock to dip in their tartar sauce. The crust was mighty crispy as well and makes the fish more enjoyable. I think their fries could be more crispy but, thats just me. Fries are not bad on their own otherwise. Also tried their fire dusted calamari. Not really as spicy as labeled and more like a warm spice. I don't mind it tho as its mainly more about the tender calamari. These were slightly better than their regular just because of the slight spice. Clam chowder was awesome. Probably my favorite from the order today. I love that it's got thicker soup and comes with chunks of seafood and veggies. Super creamy and a ton of flavor. I wish I'd gotten the large bowl. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
As someone who has a weird addiction to Fish n Chips. I've always searched far and wide for any fish and chips place I can tackle here in BC. Scott's Landing has most definitely landed in my Top 5. The servings are a good size and true to what is marketed on the Menu! It's a bit more on the pricier side but you do get what you pay for. If you're looking for good quality food always be prepared to spend, don't be cheap! The owner and staff are extremely friendly and very welcoming. Feels like you're eating at your grandparents place. If you like fish and chips and really want it to be as close to how the English do it, I would highly suggest giving this establishment a try. I love it and I'm sure you will too!
Absolutely the BEST fried fish my wife and I have ever eaten, without reservation!!! We had the red snapper and halibut. The red snapper was absolutely incredible; beyond description!!! The halibut was firm and buttery delicious. The chips fries were tasty as well. I could eat here five days a week for the rest of my life!
I’ve been a regular client of this restaurant for over a year. Although it’s a bit pricey what appealed to me was good taste and most importantly size of the fish itself. They offered a generous portion so it was worth the money. However over the past few months portions have become smaller and smaller but price remained the same. Initially I thought it’s my imagination, but after ordering on Dec.1st and discovering two tiny pieces of cod I decided to weigh them. Menu says it should be 5oz, but in reality with batter it was just 3.4oz, without probably 3oz I took pictures to confirm. In addition it was chewy and dry, plus it felt like it was cooked in the oil that haven’t been replaced for a while. It’s just unfair to clients to keep charging such a price for significantly reduced portion. I had an impression that my last order was one regular piece of cod cut in half and sold as two separate portions. Unfortunately it was my last visit, I won’t be ordering here again.
Best fish and chips I've ever had! Great owner and staff. Freshly cut and cooked fries are rare today. The halibut is awesome but the haddock is a close second at a more reasonable price. Cod next trip. Keep up the great work. The fleetwood boys
Fantastic fish and chips, well breaded and excellent home cut fries delivered in the traditional wrapping paper. Awesome authentic fish and chip experience for a reasonable price. What more do you want? I know where I'm going back to!Food: 5/5
Whenever you have a craving for fish and chips, I cannot recommend Scott's Landing enough. Excellent quality food and delicious! My go to is the two piece cod with chips. The Clam Chowder and Crab Jalapeno Bombers are . Make sure to get the sweet chili cilantro dipping sauce too. 10/10 would recommend.Food: 5/5
Great tasting Cod, with minimal oil left on batter. Homemade tarter sauce which actually tasted good. The Clam chowder soup was fresh and thick. I would eat here again.
I've only ever done takeout from this family-owned restaurant. A friend recommended them for their freshness and I whole-heartedly agree. They don't make your order until the very last possible minute. I live about 10 mins' drive away and they fish is often still very crispy. I've had their cod, haddock, red snapper and halibut; family favourites are the haddock and halibut - bursting with sweetness. Fried to utter perfection. Also love their homemade tartar sauce! Pieces of fish are huge! Would highly recommend!
