Worst bank ever I have seen in canada. Apparently their call enter and thier branchs don't communicate. They give you an appointment but keep you waiting for long time. Don't care about customers. Don't try this bank. If you are new to canada, you should try RBC, TD, BMO.PC. Just don't go to scotia.

Ridiculous! The bank is attempting to increase my mortgage by $ 240 a month claiming I owe property taxes. I have paperwork from the City of Barrie to support the fact I owe nothing to the property tax department. There is no explanation of why I owe $1700 to the bank in overdraft. They just want the money. I am going to see the branch manager this Wednesday and if he insists I owe the money, I will escalate the matter to the President of Scotiabank. I am also making arrangements to transfer my mortgage to a Credit Union if this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction.

I like the staff however the worst availability hours in town, and the automated phone system when you call after hours cannot understand what your saying half the time and leads to a very frustrating experience as there is no option but to try to talk to this system. I feel like taking all my business to TD as they seem to have a lot better hours and I had been a customer of theirs years ago. Lately they are getting better hours...
