The Scotch 'N Sirloin is a Central New York landmark. Established in 1967 in Syracuse, "The Scotch" serves Central New York the finest aged USDA steaks, fresh fish from Boston, and specialty dishes available anywhere. Everything from appetizers through dessert is homemade and cooked to order. Our rustic setting, Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence" winning wine list, and professional courteous staff will round out your visit. If your plans do not include dinner, enjoy a cocktail by our real wood burning fireplace.

The best, most tender steak in Syracuse. My wife and I love to come here on special occasions. (One thing to note: If you order "well done" steaks, inspect them as soon as they arrive to your table as they usually still have a lot of pink in them. This has happened 3 times to us, but the waiters are courteous and will send the steak back to be finished according to your liking.)

Very good scotch and bourbon selection. Maybe it was my mistake to order duck breast at a restaurant named scotch'n sirloin, but if you don't know how to prepare and serve it, don't have it on the menu - terrible. One star for the duck. Four stars for the bourbon.

My husband and I went to Scotch and Sirloin tonight for our second time. We went a few years back and had a mediocre meal but but decided to give it a second chance. We had the most unpleasant dining experience of our lives. So much so, this is the first time I’ve ever taken time to write a review. The salad bar was disgusting. My lobster was cold, freezer burned and tasted like fish cardboard. My steak (that I ordered medium) was raw. My vegetables were obviously frozen veggies that had been microwaved. We also both ordered a side of mushrooms that never came. We sent my entire meal back with the manager and asked him for the missing mushrooms. The manager never came back with the mushrooms or even to check on us. My husband ate his meal but was not at all impressed. Although I was offered something in place of my TV dinner, I decided it best not to take my chances on anything else, so I sat there and watched my husband eat. When we asked for a discount on the bill (my meal had already been removed) for the all around awful experience the manager argued with my husband refusing to discount any further and just repeating over and over that we had to pay. He finally agreed to remove two drinks....gee thanks. It was the worst food and service we have ever experienced. Don’t go here. Don’t waste your time. I’m now eating a bag of potato chips for dinner and it tastes like heaven compared to the food I was served here.

Good customer service, very attentive. The menu is quite small, with a self serving salad bar, which was not that great. The salad bar area was cluttered, with passing traffic including wait staff and customers. Actual dinner took a little while to come, mashed potatoes were kind of bland and steak was ok.

Amazing restaurant. Fabulous choices of food. Delicious, cozy and hospitable. Waite staff is knowledgeable, efficient, polite.
