Scanlon's at American Cleaners

I used Scanlon’s for the first time about a month ago. I brought 2 suits to have dry cleaned. It turned out about a day later that we needed the suits done one day earlier for an out of town funeral that was sooner than we anticipated. I texted Scanlon’s to let them know that we needed them before they were scheduled. They put a rush on them and we had them when we needed them. The best part was we were not charged extra for this very kind accommodation. Great business! Please support them!

I’ve used their services a few times over the past few years, with normally adequate results. This last time, I dropped off my winter coat, a formal gown, and two sweaters, one cashmere, one alpaca. I just unpacked everything from the plastic and I’m flummoxed. It seems like they didn’t clean the gown at all - the gown wasn’t dirty, except it smelled under the armpits…still does. The coat, they cleaned, but also somehow still missed the armpits. I called the store but they’re closed. Left a message for them to call me back. Then went to put away the sweaters. The alpaca sweater seems ok, but to my chagrin, the cashmere sweater is ruined. Parts of the cashmere are rubbed away, maybe from the way they hung it. Hoping they call me back to offer some kind of fix. But I would be wary of trusting them with anything precious to you.

I absolutely love Scanlon’s cleaners. I have MS and don’t have a washer dryer. All I have to do is place my laundry on my front steps and they come and get it, wash and fold, and return it a few days later! I don’t know how I would survive without them. Their staff is always friendly too.

The place in Rhinebeck couldn’t have my suits done before I needed them. Your man in Rhinebeck sent me to Kingston. They were able to accommodate me. Very helpful

Excellent service! Cleaned old garments I wasn’t sure had a chance and delivered it to my door at a very low cost.
