Scanlon's at American Cleaners

Scanlon’s Cleaners has been taking care of my cleaning needs for over a year. I was hesitant to start spending the money, but I absolutely hate ironing my shirts. I found it more affordable than I imagined and the customer service has been great. The employees address me by name and take a sincere interest in my life. Using a dry cleaner has freed up time and energy and has yielded me more time to focus on growing my company.

They are pretty much the only dry cleaner in town besides another on broadway that charges ridiculously high. This place has decent prices, but because they have no real competition I feel they provide subpar service. Many times when I have brought sweaters there to be dry cleaned it is returned to me with lint balls, strands of human hair tangled into the lint, and cat hair on it. I have cats, but I don’t bring in items that are blanketed in cat hair. When I pick up my items and it is returned to me this way it makes me wonder if they even cleaned it at all. I’ve never gone to another cleaner and had my clothes returned to me this way. I’ve mentioned this to them several times and have been met with blank stares. A friend recently brought a shirt in to be cleaned and it was returned to her with all the buttons broken. They claimed they were not responsible for it. Other items Ive brought in to be cleaned turned out ok.

Good location but they lack in customer service. Yesterday before heading out to a wedding I pull out a white dress shirt that just came back from the cleaners. I notice that their was a small stain on the right side of the collar. So much for wearing that to the wedding. On another occasion I have dropped off dress shirts that I have bought in Express. One of the shirts ended up being lost. Things happen items get lost but to return a dress shirt to a customer stained that should be unacceptable. I did not notice anything wrong during the pick up because I had a bunch of other things that I was also picking up. Your quality control needs to be improved. You won't be seeing me returning there. I will take my business somewhere else.
