Nice little restaurant in downtown. Small selections but enough for a quick bite. Tokbokki is really nice but a bit on a sweet side. Good value for the meal set. They also offer a small selection of korean chips. Banana puff is not recommended-too much artificial banana flavors.
Great, fresh Korean dishes! The BBQ beef bowls are full of umami flavour and comes with a decent amount of meat. The rice is plump and chewy, tempura like bits are nice and tasty. Pork bone stew is made well, as are the rice cakes which could be a little more firm but not bad at all. Clean interior and modern decor, the restaurant is spacious and welcoming, washrooms are keypad locked but clean. Recommend checking this out!
The interior of this spot is actually underrated. Although I did not dine in, it’s super cute and I’m sure one could get a lovely food-babe pic in there. They also have a little section for some Korean snacks! I ordered the Chicken Mayo Bowl, Mattang, Pork Boa Bun, and Soy Garlic Dang Gang Jung! The Chicken Mayo Rice Bowl was such a well balance of textures and flavours! I really enjoyed it and it’s probably tied for my favourite with the Mattang. The Mattang was TOO nice; fried potato slices, with crispy tempura, drizzled with a honey garlic sauce? Mighty God. You really can’t go wrong with Boa Bun, so of course that was great as well. The pork was also extremely tender and well seasoned. Dang Gang Jung is their boneless fried chicken, and it was so good! Their chicken really has a nice crunch to it, but is also moist on the inside. Not only is the food tasty, but the price is RIGHT. Tell me why everything on their menu is UNDER TEN DOLLARS? AND the portions make sense! It’s almost too good to be true! This place is literally the perfect lunch and take-out spot. I’m telling ya, if you are in Calgary at any time, you MUST stop by.
: ᴄʜɪᴄᴋᴇɴ ᴍᴀʏᴏ ʙᴏᴡʟ: The chicken is a major highlight of this dish! It's well flavoured and so very crispy! The bowl also comes with rce, salad caramelized onion and pickled radish! It's so very filling and yummy! ʙʙQ ʙᴏᴡʟ: The beef was so flavourful! It also comes with a vegetable dumpling, salad, edamame, and tempura. My friend loved how well everything went together in this dish! ʜʀɪᴍᴘ ʙᴀᴏ: Fluffy shrimp goodness with pickled radish and fried onions. Can't go wrong with these. - - $ ! Really tasty! The service is fantastic, the staff are polite, helpful and enthusiastic. Great value - dishes are under $10 and the portions are quite sizeable. Restaurant is clean if you’d like to dine in, but the food is made quick in case you’d rather take it to go.
I love this place! The waiting time for the food was hardly even 10 minutes and the server was so sweet! I ordered the chicken dosirak and the cheese tteokbokki, they were both delicious. I should also mention the portion size is great for the price, I will definitely be back for more!
The service is always super friendly, food is great and reasonably priced, and the interior is inviting. One of my favourite places for lunch : I love the option to size-up your meal for $3, definitely worthwhile!
Food was great! Got the Chicken Mayo Bowl and was surprised by the portion size. Thought it would have been smaller but it was enough to fill me up. Interior is also very nice and cozy. Would recommend 10/10
