Had dinner here with friends last night and we ordered the Sarang Feast with four flavors. The Cheese Powder and Soy Garlic were my favorites super juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The fries were also amazing and stayed crispy even after they cooled down. They got many items for drinks and ice creammm too!nnThe restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with different seating options, and I really appreciated the thoughtful sensory items in the washroom. Great service, generous portions, and a perfect spot for groups or date nights. Amazing service, the staffs were super friendly and was very patient with us!! I’ll definitely be back!
Had a fantastic meal at Sarang Kitchen!nnWe shared the Sarang Platter, which included two flavours of fried chicken, crispy whole squid, tornado fries with four dipping sauces, coleslaw, and pickled radish. The Soy Garlic chicken was savoury and crispy, while the Sweet As flavour had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. The Corn Cheese Mayo was also a great side.nnThe restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and one thing I really appreciated was that the menu price already includes hospitality, so there's no need to tip.nnGreat food, generous portions, and an excellent place to watch sports or enjoy a meal with friends. I'll definitely be back!
Went on a Saturday around 5:30 and there was no wait for a table. To see the menu, you do have to scan a QR code, but ordering is with the waitress.nnI ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and my friend ordered the Malaysian spicy chili one. Both ordered a level 2 for spiciness. Also ordered seaweed rolls to share.nnThe seaweed rolls had a good flavour to them, and a bit of a kick as well. Came with a ketchup/mayo style dip that really went well with the rolls.nnBoth mine, and my friend's chicken, tasted great. The Sweet and spicy one was a bit crisper than the Malaysian one, so if you're going for crunch, would say that is a good option.nnIn terms of portion, it's a solid portion. If you have a decent appetite, should be able to finish. But for myself, ended up taking some home.nnThe restaurant does have slightly higher menu prices, but important to note that tipping is not expected here.
It was pretty busy even early evening on a Friday. I like the variety in seating. some tables have beanie bags too, some are booths, etc. I think having some music in the background would have added to the ambience. It was basically quiet except for the guests’ chatter.nnThe staff are approachable but often doing their own thing and feel like they have to be prompted to pay attention to you.nnThe food was decent. The portions were pretty generous. We had a platter for two and that probably could’ve been shared with three depending on how hungry you are or not. Powdered seasonings like the cheese would also be better if the fries or chicken were tossed to coat evenly instead of just being sprinkled on top. The slices of pickled radish tasted pretty much like they were soaked in vinegar, which wasn’t very good.nnI appreciate them opting not to solicit tips and taking ownership for paying their staff fair wages instead like their video said. It felt like it had a community vibe inside with framed photos of people and messages from/ about them. They feel integrated in the neighbourhood and that’s always nice to see.
This was my first time here. The food was really really good. It really exceeded my expectations. We were four people who ordered four different things and shared together. The portion size was good too. The space was a little small than we expected but the vibe was good. And service was great.It felt like the staffs are treated well and love their job. I like the fact that they put sanitary pads in washrooms for everyone to use. How thoughtful
