Mezanmi! I visited Daldongnae Korean BBQ the day before my birthday, right after rehearsal for the Djenane Saint Juste Books Festival 2026, and it turned into such a memorable evening. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of culture, making it the perfect place to unwind and celebrate. I loved grilling the thin slices of beef and pork right at the table with fresh vegetables — the whole experience felt interactive, comforting, and delicious. I love Korean cuisine!nThe rice beer was also a highlight and paired perfectly with the meal. A wonderful spot for great food, great vibes, and a fun shared dining experience. Mèsi Anpil!
My wife and I are big fans of Daldongnae-- we come to this location often as well as the ones on Yonge street and near Kensington. The food's always good and my wife's parents who live in Korea are very impressed with how good this kbbq spot is compared to back home. The decor is so fun and such a cool theme, great for photos. So great that we actually had an engagement shoot here before our wedding earlier this year!nnReally this review is an expression of thanks to the staff of this location for being so accommodating and helpful with a completely optional request to have a personal photoshoot here. They asked that we visit earlier in the week around lunchtime when it wasn't busy and when we arrived we had the whole place to ourselves, so lucky! We had a great lunch with cold noodles and some sides and were just thrilled to have access to this space to get some wonderful photos.nnCan't remember specific staff members to give any shout outs, but we visited on April 15th and are so appreciative of the manager as well as those working on that day. Thank you!
I’ve visited Daldongnae before at Dundas and even in London, and I always had a really good experience, which is why I chose to come here again yesterday, I even brought my friends along and spoke highly of this place to them. Unfortunately, this location completely ruined the experience for all of us.nnFrom the moment we walked in, the vibe felt off. The place itself looked quite dirty, especially the walls, which was disappointing. What made it worse was the staff’s attitude — they seemed uninterested, didn’t want to communicate, and gave us uncomfortable looks. One girl staff was sweet and friendly I can’t tell same about other two girls.nnWhen we ordered, the way the food was placed on the table felt careless, almost like they didn’t want to serve us at all. It was supposed to be a special outing, but instead, it turned into a very uncomfortable experience.nnGood food can’t make up for poor service and bad energy. I really hope the management looks into this, because no customer should feel unwelcome.nnAfter this experience, I won’t be visiting any of their branches again. Please don’t make someone’s day worse just because of attitude.
It was busy, and they only had 2 people serving, but they were doing their best to get to everyone. It took a while for stuff to come in but as said, busy day and low staff.nFood was good, and refills were fast! Extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience. The pork belly was nothing but excessive fat, and both the pork and beef slices were cut paper-thin, which felt like very poor quality for what we paid. To make things worse, a staff member started spraying strong detergent and cleaning right next to us while we were eating. The smell was overwhelming and irritating to our noses, making it impossible to continue our meal. We felt so uncomfortable that we had no choice but to leave. This was incredibly unprofessional, unpleasant, and unacceptable. Definitely will not be coming back.
