Story

Pitch your tent or park your camper on one of over 100 campsites nestled along both the bayside and lakeside beaches of the lake. Sara’s Campground is located directly between Presque Isle State Park, with over 12 miles of public beaches, bike paths and nature trails, and Waldameer Amusement Park and Water World. The beaches of Lake Erie are said to offer sunsets that are the second best only to those found in Hawaii, and Presque Isle State Park is visited by more people in one season than Yellowstone National Park. Lake Erie is alive and flowing with activity, and Sara’s Campground is the place to be on Lake Erie!

Would be 5 stars if the ownership was not running the place like one of Stalin's work camp. What's with the Gestapo making the rounds at like 11pm?! People paid money to camp. Let them do what they want. They community can self-police. If people complain then maybe deal with the offending party but otherwise what's with the snotty policies?! This is Erie, PA, folks. We drink in the streets all summer. Chill.

This is the greatest place to pitch a tent and enjoy a beautiful weekend .No reservations excepted .Come on a Wednesday or Thursday to set up early .They are full usually after that .But it is always worth the try..

This used to be my favorite place to pick up dinner. Over the years though they've really degraded their burgers. After last night I won't buy another one. I'll still go for the ice cream but that's about it.

excellent pizza. pub style bench seating. big screen tvs. conveniently located at the entrance to the Presque Isle peninsula.

The only place near Presque Isle State Park where you can camp, specifically tent camp on the beach. The staff here were very friendly. The beach was rather crowded to me, especially for a Tuesday, and there are no designated sites for tents. The staff told us the beach has gotten significantly smaller due to the lake. There are fire rings and picnic tables aplenty. They also have camping near the trees and RV sites too. The campground store had everything you needed from cleaning supplies to firewood and ice, and the prices were very reasonable. The bathrooms were clean, the showers cost money though, 25 cents for 5 min. The sunset was beautiful and worth the trip alone. If you're a camper, I highly recommend camping here.
