SAQ

A Pleasant Experience!nnYesterday, I visited an SAQ retail store outside of downtown Montreal with a simple task: to grab some alcohol. Unfortunately, the specific items I was searching for weren't available. However, the experience quickly turned around thanks to the lovely lady working there.nnShe listened attentively to all the objections I presented and, with remarkable expertise, managed to convince me to try an alternative. Her knowledge of the products was impressive, but what stood out even more was her warm and engaging personality. We chatted for a bit, and I realized that I was the only customer on-site at the time. Despite this, her unique character and genuine enthusiasm made the entire shopping experience feel vibrant and colorful.nnIt wasn't just about buying alcohol; it was about the connection and the care she put into her work. The SAQ might have a vast selection, but it's employees like her who make a visit truly memorable.

Well now that they're in a labor conflict expect the following:n- bottles are displayed backwardsn- carts blocking rowsn- finally, any interaction with a certain staff member you can guess who will involve responding to you using the opposite language ie French-English and vice-versa.nnI'm not sure why clients receive the ire of these folks but I guess the SAQ is Ok with this since .... you know.

Selection is limitrd but the staff are very knowledgeable and they usually have a few surprise bottles that you wouldn't expect to find in a smaller store. Definitely punches above it's weight.

I'm not a fan of the new layout but I guess I will get used to it. This SAQ is conveniently located close to my home. Therefore, I am a frequent flyer. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful and right there to answer any questions that I may have. It is a smaller location but you can definitely find what you're looking for and if what you're looking for is not there, you can find an alternative.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have an interesting in-house rating system on many of their wines which I find very handy for someone who is not a connaisseur. If you are looking for a specific wine that they don’t have, they are more than pleased to assist you in locating it in another SAQ.
