Story

Born in may 2007, Santos is the quintessential old Montreal tapas bar experience. Open from Tuesday to Sunday , it specializes in traditional Spanish tapas mixed with Mexican influences and offers a large and original selection of spirits, cocktails, wines, sangrias and mojitos. Live DJs every night and many special events. Santos is ideal for your 5@7s, late night dinners, corporate bookings and live musical events.

Kitchen hours 6pm to 11pm.

The atmosphere of the place is nice, is does make it more enjoyable . The food is interesting, I had the sweet potatoes for 8$, it was okay. My friends got the sushi pizza and they did liked it. However it is rather small for dancing, because later at night the tapas restaurant turns into a club (?). Too tight that I had to leave .

Outstanding service by Chino (every single time), new food menu is bomb and the music is on point. They have thematic nights (from ladies night to latin night). Definitely a must on your list !

Literally the worst place to go in the Old Port. We made a reservation to get bottle service and have tapas. They forced us to have the $40 menu per individual even though we had agreed to get $560 worth of bottles. When we arrived, they were disorganized and had nowhere for us to sit even though I had made a reservation. The manager even said he would kick people out of a table for us to sit. Refused to let multiple of my friends into the club, SPECIFICALLY ones who were gay, saying to get to the back of the line or would let people in back of them go in front, even though I told the bouncers multiple times that we were getting 2+ bottles and needed them to pitch in. The club never even filled up that much and they still did not let my friends in, who were very respectful and dressed appropriately. The manager was snobby and told me I was giving him trouble-- he was disorganized and rude. At the end of the night, there were $160 worth of "hidden fees" that did not include tax. The only thing pleasant was the hostess/waitress Pauline who was so sweet despite everything!

Fun place to go dancing at the end of the night. Music is good but they randomly and abruptly switch from song to song just as you begin to enjoy the song playing.
