Le Bidon Taverne Culinaire invoque l’endroit par excellence pour profiter de la bistronomie montréalaise au cœur de Saint-Lambert. Monté par une jeune équipe talentueuse et dynamique.

La carte sans prétention propose un menu d'une générosité et d'une authenticité extrême. En passant par les classiques bistrots actualisés, le menu à l’ardoise offre une cuisine solide, abordable, et assez sexy dans l'ensemble. En cuisine, le chef s’approvisionne principalement de fournisseurs régionaux et contrôle la qualité des produits d’un bout à l’autre. Tout cela est assuré par un service accueillant et professionnel.

Décidément, le Bidon est en quelque sorte un amalgame de ce que Montréal nous offre de mieux, mais à Saint-Lambert. Cuisine rustique mais soignée, rassurante et créative : de la bistronomie en rupture avec le classicisme de la restauration d’antan. On y vient pour déguster, certes, mais aussi pour picosser dans l’assiette du voisin et partager les saveurs.

Le plaisir de savoir que la relève est là, prête à reprendre le flambeau, renouvelant les genres sans arracher le portefeuille.

My partner took a filet mignon and it was so tender. Appetizers were good, the garnish was the same for both plates could use a bit more creativity. Portions were adequate.
I was looking for something good to eat on the south shore. I ended up in St lambert and finally selected Bidon for dinner. The place was somewhat busy but wasn’t packed. I found parking right in front of the restaurant. This was a good sign. Dimly lit the restaurant had a rustic feel. Music was playing in the background. Little did I know that the ambiance was set for an epic meal which was about to begin. We ordered: short ribs, crusted iceland cod and for the kids; chicken nuggets and burger and fries. The short rib was so tender, and loaded with rich marbling and full of flavour. The chimichurri sauce and marinated shallots paired nicely with the beefy flavour of the short rib, adding a fresh and bright taste to the overall A+ dish. It was thoughtful of them to ensure the dish had a healthy starch and veggies mashed sweet potatoes, and glazed carrots The aroma of the pine nut butter and burnt oranges infused well with the light flavour profile of the Iceland cod. At first we didn’t expect this restaurant to cater to kids as the menu does not have a kids section. Fortunately we were wrong. They do have meal options for kids. When most restaurants cook for kids, the food is bland and terrible. Not at Bidon. The kids meals were actually very good!The burger was so moist and juicy. The chicken nuggets were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. The kids really enjoyed their meals. The CHOCOLATE FONDANT with salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream was rich, luxurious, fat-filled, highly caloric and possibly downright bad for me. But it was sooo good. Awesome service. Epic meal.
Top notch eaterie. The burger was perfectly charred and the fries were just crisp enough. The Caesar salad was interesting and delicious. Fish and chips are up there with the best of them. Try some of their cocktails. You won't be disappointed. It was a bit noisy at lunchtime but quieted down as patrons went back to work.
Superb service ! We rented the downstairs room for a 10 person private event and the waiter Felix was really nice and accommodating despite some of our guests showing up fashionably late. They never rushed us or pushed us out even though we stayed shortly after their closing time. Thank you for the perfect service and really good food. Would definitely recommend!!!
Amazing Valentine's Day dinner at Bidon. They were able to offer us great recommendations and detail oriented service. The food was delightful especially the scallop/duck appetizer which blew me away - the flavours complimented each other perfectly and the duck was so tender. The tartare was also really really good! They were attentive to give us an English speaking server, refill water constantly, and the atmosphere was also fitting for a special occasion. Would recommend!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Food and service are amazing. You can order anything off the menu and it's guaranteed to taste out of this world. Love coming here. Edit: Came last night may 2022 - still so amazing.
The food was nothing more than OK with a service that unfortunately left you wondering if you should even leave a tip. The menu is elaborate but the execution leaves something to desire.
Super service, showed up around 7:45pm and we were lucky to get a table for 2. Very friendly staff,great selection on the menu at reasonable price. Truly enjoyed the terrace. I had the fish & chips -very good and plenty.
After countless visits, over many years, we have never had an unpleasant experience. The service is always excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgable with their private import wines and very attentive to our table. The food is always amazing. My fiance's vegan cauliflower bowl was by far one of our favorite dishes we have eaten here. Congratulations to the whole team. Their hard work definitely shows.
Great place to enjoy a good meal with an excellent service. The duck is delicious!!!
