Sandy Beach Park

Great spot for a picnic/bbq. Has enough grills and benches to accommodate even a large group. Plenty of space for outdoor games. Beautiful walk around the river after dinner.

It was a beautiful Mother's day to go to this park for the first time. Nice shaded areas along the river and picnic tables and benches too.

Great first swim here. Lots of space. A definite hidden gem in these times for some fun and relaxation!

Favourite off leash dog park in the city, it is not fenced there is a fenced part on the other side but it is great. Love the fact that you can walk to the dog beach in the summer.

Great view of the river. Good place to take the pets to. If you're going there in a warm day, carry a bottle of water with you.

The playground has some creative elements, like a hammock. Big open space with lots of picnic tables make it easy to have physically distanced get-togethers. The beach access is lovely and the other side of the river has a dog access point to the river!

Loved the water. Was cool but not cold. Dogs enjoyed playing in it. Was very crowded. To be expected being long weekend but was fun

Amazing park for walk, bbq and in summer for dip in the river. There is many km of walking and relaxing.
