One of most beautiful places to bike in the city with lovely views along the trail. The path goes through a dense section, lookout for cayotes there. Overall a good loop of around 16k from parking to parking. We had the bike path to almost ourselves on a weekend which added more fun. The pathway is easy to ride and you can stop at heritage park in between for a quick snack. Trail is well marked. Lot of parking spots available.
It was the first time I was there. There are a number of parking spots along with play structures for children to play in. We went on a long weekend and the multiple parkings were overflowing. There is a nice walking trail, with the sun out and a cool breeze it was very pleasant and refreshing. I also saw people down by the water fishing. Don't forget your mosquito spray!!
That's awesome place to enjoy with family and friends. It has a long bike trail and huge grass ground Also, there are a couple of BBQ Sites but to use these, you have to make a book first.
We have been going there for the amazing round about skating path way! We have had really good weather the few times we have been there. There is lots of parking. There are fireplaces the ground keepers keep going, bringing fire wood every 20-35 minutes or so. Very friendly staff. The mini curling, and curling crockenou are fun for the kids. There is a hockey rink there as well for the Hockey buffs! There is a shelter to get out of the wind, and the park is very useable. So if you have kids this park will entertain them for hours. So far our average is about 2.5 to 4 hours and they never seen to want to leave! Its on the shores of the Glenmore Reservoir
The Glenmore Park is a very large one, I mean the North Park I didn't have the time or strength to explore the South. It has got many parking areas, kids playzones, open spaces etc. If you are not driving, get ready to count your steps; I assure you, you will exceed your daily targets . Just like with any park, your company and activities you do make it fun. Park is neat. As soon as we rounded up, the cleaning team sprung into action - no delay in cleaning up.
One of my favorite park in the south area because its connected right to the wooded area behind the water reservoir. Walking the trail is great and well maintained plus it's quite long and can go for miles definitely a good walk with the family. Highly walking your dog here during the sunny days!
The Inclusive Playgound in North Glenmore Park is not shown on Google Maps accurately - it's located right at the Merlyn Picnic Site and is just awesome: full of fun and exciting features for kids' entertainment, while fir adults there are picnic tables with BBQ grills, and the shoreline cycling/walking trail is also nearby.Playground: YesPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: Yes
What a beauty ....even in this cold weather it looks so beautiful. Nice walk, no black ice! Can't believe if we compare it to the Glenmore of the summers.
It's been a while I didn't go to this park. And the spring time always beautiful if you can get out there in late afternoon.
Great park with lots of various paths, playgrounds, shelters, BBQ pits reserved through the city website
