Sandy Beach Park

Peaceful place with off leash dog parks, close to the river and scenic views. Have seen bald eagles and coyotes here and enjoyed many picnics in the summer.

The decor and service was great but the food was, in one word, Terrible. We had a table for five and it was unanimous we all didn't like the food. Salad was disgusting and that was the best part. We have had a rotten taste in our mouth for the rest of the day. Big thumbs down.

This is a nice walk down the hill. If you cross the suspension bridge there are picnic areas a washroom that has summer only hours and closes in Sept. Like other reviewers say this is an upscale neighborhood and not on the beaten trail. It is also a dog park. If you don’t mind dogs, this is a great trail to loop around. From the street up above, down to the park and back up is +/- 2Km. There are two trail choices on the decent, one is steep the other is less steep.

This place is lovely, I enjoy coming here with my dogs for a run or when I need some time to myself. Beautiful place and awesome pathways. There are so many dogs here!

Go there all the time with my dog. Be aware that it's not an off leash area by the river and I've seen bylaw in attendance.
