Salt Sushi

This little hidden gem has, by far, the best sushi in town. The food is fresh and delicious, the presentation is excellent, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and modern. We fancy ourselves sushi connoisseurs and have tried out most of the sushi restaurants in the area. We have yet to find another restaurant that impresses us as much as Salt. This place is our go-to for our sushi fix.

Ordered take out Fri Dec 17 and was very disappointed. The order was inaccurate and overall quality was poor. The rice was stale and the avacados were brown, the miso soup tasted like water and had no kelp and very little tofu in it, I bit into a hard core of some type in the sushi. This was actually the second time we ordered here, the first we ate in and the quality was better but service level was poor. Will most likely not be returning.

I wanted to like this place but unfortunately I had a terrible first experience. We received our apps in a somewhat timely manner but our first round of all you can eat sushi took over and hour. We informed our waitress and she brought us out half our order. The rice in the sushi was so dry we ate a few rolls and couldn't stomach the rest. We ended up just asking for our bill and leaving. The waitress was nice and offered us a discount on our meal and allowed us to take our sushi home with us. Sadly that didn't change the fact that the rolls were dry and tasted like day old sushi.

Extremely fresh and clean. Came here for lunch, was greeted with smiles. Everything was super good. Great experience. Recommend!

Have I eaten here a lot? Yes. Have I enjoyed every single time? Yes. Would I do just about anything for Salt Sushi's vampire roll and gyoza? YES! I've had great experiences at Salt every single time. The food is amazing, the service is great, the ambiance is incredible. Support Local!

Salt Sushi was an overall pleasant experience. My favourite roll was definitely the Flaming Cheese, though the Philly Roll was also quite good. There were issues with wait times, food preparation times for the large rolls and there just wasn't anything amazing that stood out to me in regards to the food. Service was quick once you got through the door, but servers seemed to be overly busy and occasionally forgot some important items we asked for a glass of water, for one. Tables also went uncleaned for a long while. This was a Tuesday night, though, so Salt was unusually busy.

We had a wonderful dine in experience this evening. The restaurant was clean and had a cozy atmosphere. The sushi was tasteful and delicious. The serve was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back again! I highly recommend Salt Sushi.

My Gf and I have been regulars at Salt for quite a while and it has always been our go to for sushi. We went a couple weeks ago and noticed some changes that seemed odd and on the cheap side but it was little things like no longer keeping the bottles sweet and hot sauces on the table, we had to ask for them. The all you can eat menu also seemed different, some of our regular rolls were now a $2 upgrade/roll. This past weekend we went again and noticed even more changes. When we asked for sauces to go with our all you can eat, we got 1 tiny sauce bowl half the size of the regular sauce bowls. Seemed pretty petty considering our bill was over $100 for 2 people. Also, the quality of the food definitely wasn't as good as we've been used to at Salt. Something tasted very differently on our regular rolls, possibly the nori seaweed wrapping, we weren't quite sure but it was definitely different. The service has always been great but the quality of the food and cheaping out on little things has made us reconsider Salt as our go to sushi restaurant. Perhaps we will try them again some day but in the meantime we will be trying new places.

Great sushi, sometimes rice is a little dry but it happens. Only complaint is the sauce is tiny and they only give you 3.2ml enough for 2 pieces.

Ordered from Salt Sushi for the first time tonight. I got takeout and ordered 3 rolls. All were excellent, fresh and well priced. The friendly staff were able to assist with answering questions I had about the menu. They let me know they run a contest on Facebook and give away prizes there. Very clean and modern interior- I will have to stop by to eat in one time. A great choice for sushi in Tecumseh- give it a try!
