Marukin Steak& Sushi

Tonight we had the best dinner out we have had in a long time. Not only were the beautiful people at Marukin willing to accommodate us at the last minute on a Saturday night but the food was top notch. 3 of us ordered the hibachi dinners and it was really cool how they served us one course at a time. I also really appreciate that they brought out the kids dinners first so they didn't have to wait. We had a variety of items off the menu and everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Oftentimes when you order vegetables at a restaurant they are a frozen medley but this was not the case here and we were each served a wonderful variety of hand prepped mushrooms, onions, and zucchini. Finally, the salad dressing, which they make in house, was probably the best salad dressing I have ever had. If they bottled it and sold it they would have me a loyal customer. In addition to the delicious food the staff was also very friendly, welcoming, and on the ball. I also feel that I should mention how reasonably priced everything was! For a teriyaki rib eye dinner served with soup, rice, veggies, and a salad and drink it was less than $20. All in all, our night at Marukin was an incredible experience and we look forward to many more family meals there to come.

As someone who has visited Japan before and tried authentic sushi, i can say with confidence that Marukin comes pretty close to the real thing, and is definitely the best sushi restaurant I've tried out in Windsor! The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful, so you'll dine surrounded by beautiful art and decorations. The service was decent, although we did come at a rush so they were understandably busy. They also have a great selection of other Asian cuisine besides sushi, so overall, this place is definitely recommended!

Very good prices. Clean, great food, good Asian beer selection. Sapporo on tap. Service was very good. Definitely will return. They have a good variety of sushi. They have sake, plum wine, a good selection of wine, and they have lots of combo deals. The lunch special is a hearty meal and quite affordable at $8. They have vegetarian options and it is wheelchair accessible, though, I don't know about the washroom. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there today for the first time. I hope to try it again soon.

If I could give 6 stars, I would no b.s. Everything down to the price is amazing, i always recommend and im there atleast 1 time a week but as often as 6 times a week at multiple meals lol Vegetarian options: Thai and susi Kid-friendliness: 100%

Marukin is the best sushi in town for the best price. The owner and staff are so nice, very quick and serve both Japanese sushi and Thai food which are amazing quality. This is not your run of the mill all you can eat quality, the fish is so good and he gives generous pieces. You can get a great date night meal with lots of food for $50. Or just lunch if youd like in to $13 range. My husband and I can not speak highly enough of Marukin and we really hope you try it.

Although simple, the quality of the sushi and sashimi is absolutely incredible. You can tell the cut of fish is of a high quality, and the flavour proves its worth. Don't underestimate this small restaurant - definitely a hidden gem! All the staff are very kind and accommodating. Ben the owner is awesome!!

Cashew Nut Chicken is our go-to. Amazing food. Amazing service. Would recommend to anyone. You can tell they really care about the food they serve. Feels like a true home cooked meal every time.

Hidden gem! My family and I have been eating here consistently for years. The quality is very high and SO consistent. It’s amazing every time and we are never disappointed. Very friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled after multiple visits to Marukin. The value is better than any other non-all you can eat sushi restaurant in Windsor, and the sushi is top notch. The weekend Thai menu is fantastic. The ownership/staff here are unbelievably personable, courteous, and friendly, and they work fast. Eat here - it's a hidden gem.

Nice ambiance. I would give the place a try again for Thai food, but the sushi was far below average. Service was inexperienced but friendly.
