Sahara Shawarma Wrap

I am a fan off Shawarma. I've seen good, bad, and ugly. This is one of the best Shawarmas I've eaten. Very happy with the service and food and it has always been consistent over multiple visits. Will definitely keep coming back!

Watched someone who knows the employee walk behind the counter and grab food with their hands, bag it, then walk around to the customer side to pay, employee took the money, rinsed her hands with water for 1 second then handled food, then took money again and did the same thing. Absolutely disgusting, complete lack of safe food handling, eat here at your own risk. It seems to be commonplace here from the other reviews.

The food is great. I’ve had shawarma all over the place and this place is my favourite around here. Portions sizes are good. Price is good too. Service is slow and sometimes they run out of meat so I always call my order in.

I went into this restaurant but ended up leaving without eating because of the lack of proper food handling I witnessed. The people working there were not wearing any gloves while handling food. Both the man and the young lady working behind the counter would operate the cash register; taking cash and interact then go back to touching the food without washing their hands or wearing any gloves. In addition, the man at some point took a rather dirty looking cloth and used it to wipe the food counter. I witnessed this while standing in line waiting to order and left immediately without ordering because I was not comfortable eating at a place that doesn't observe proper food hygiene. I don't know how the food tastes but I will definitely not be trying it.
