I usually don't post reviews on restaurants as I am a sever myself and I understand mistakes happen but today was a different story. 
My husband and I decided to go to Cats Kitchen + Bar for lunch today. Unfortunately we left very unhappy and disappointed.

On the menu it specifically says, 
"NOT ON THE MENU? WE'RE LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED, NOT A BIG CHAIN. IF WE HAVE THE INGREDIENTS, WE'LL MAKE IT FOR YOU! 

My husband asked our server if they could do a western sandwich with ham or bacon which ever you have. Our server checked with the kitchen, the kitchen said yes but seemed clueless on what a western was. The server asked what he wanted on it and said she would let us know how much it would be. He ordered onions, peppers, cheese and ham or bacon. (The standard western ingredients) and we asked if we could upgrade the soup to the French onion instead of the soup of the day as the his side. The server replied with yes, no problem. I ordered off the $10 express lunch menu. A grilled cheese with mushrooms and onions and fries as my side. I also asked to add bacon on my sandwich. Lunch arrived, everything seemed great except bacon was missing on my sandwich. Everything tasted great but our problem wasn't the food, it was our bill. My husband was charged for a sandwich on the menu called The stack for $14.99 that comes with a choice of side. The stack consists of turkey, Brie cheese, granny apples and cranberry mayo. My husbands sandwich was an egg with some onions, cheese, peppers and 2 slices of bacon on top with NO SIDE. The bill arrives. He was charged full price for the French onion soup for $7.99 and full price for The Stack Sandwich for $14.99. The server never did return to tell us the price. $23 plus tax for a western sandwich and French onion soup is the total for his lunch before tax!!!!!!! I was charged $10 for mine which was correct but I was also charged for the bacon I didn't recieve. I asked the server about the charges and she had the bacon that I didn't receive removed.
I don't think we will be returning for anymore $23 per person lunches.

Cats, excellent food, had the chicken breast wrap and fish and chips. Would highly recommend this place. Great staff and friendly service.

My band members and I go here to watch other musicians play. I actually adore the fish and chips here. A lot more modern and fresh than Cats Caboose but it’s a newer facility. Good service.

The lamb burger was ridiculously small and burnt to a crisp. The waitress offered me something different, but who has time while on a lunch break. I was billed for the full amount even after I expressed my discontent. The only reason I’m giving Cats Kitchen + Bar in Niagara Falls 2 stars is because the salad was good. We won’t be back.
