We brought an out of town visitor to one of our absolute favourite Bubble tea shops, Sago Togo. It's a family owned Filipino Bubble tea shop in New Westminster that makes Bubble teas and Bubble waffles in all sorts of wonderful flavors. Highly recommend the Brown Sugar Ice Cream Slush and their warm Taho. You can have it cold too if you prefer We'd never tried or even heard of Taho until we discovered Sago Togo. It's a tofu dessert that consists of soft silken tofu with sago pearls. If you've never tried Taho before, this is a great place to try it! Service: Excellent Parking: Street parking. Location: It's a small shop on 12th St. Kingsway becomes 12th St. and there's not much signage so you need to keep a sharp lookout for it, or else it can be easy to miss.
A small and unique bubble tea shop with a focus on the Philippines. The owner was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. They have different things available than what is usually found in bubble tea shops. We got the brown sugar, honeydew and sago gulamon drinks with the Oreo bubble waffle. We found the drinks had an original flavor but were still good. The waffle was okay though not spectacular. Probably would have been better with some ice cream as recommended in other reviews. Overall a nice place to visit if you want a change from the chains.
Great hole-in-the-wall bubble tea shop. Reasonable prices and delicious offerings. We enjoyed the warm taho as it's not too sweet but the sago/pearls were so gooeey. The taro and bubble waffle ice cream combo is to-die-for! The store is currently on soft launch so it is open on certain hours 4 to 9pm then winter break they open from 12 noon.
Bubble Tea, Waffles and Taho are so good. They have a pretty wide range of options. Taho is my ultimate favourite! I like that we have an option to choose which type of pearl to add - I personally like the chewy tapioca pearl. Taho is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal, and tapioca pearl. The Indonesian and Thai equivalent of this snack is Tauhue, and the Malaysian equivalent of this snack is called Taufufah. I’d recommend that you try it.
Worst Halo Halo I’ve tried in my life. I saw it in tik tok and I drove all the way from Vancouver and I got really disappointed, they put mostly shave ice in the cup and just a minimum of condense milk, ube, flan, and of everything. The taste is also very bland! I don’t recommend to try it, you will be really disappointed
Ordered via Uber eats and didn’t realize that the pearls were not included in the brown sugar milk tea. An employee called to verify the order and was able to modify our order to include pearls. We really appreciate the extra effort that Sago Togo put into ensuring we were happy with our order!
Worst BBT place I've been to, honestly wasn't expecting much due to the area they were located in. I ended up just throwing my drink out, and the sago was extremely soggy/mushy. Would not come back.
Mislead and definitely a disappointing experience. We were so excited to try it out, we ordered taro milk tea with sago, pandan slush with ice cream and bubbles, matcha and ube bubble waffle cones. The milk tea had absolutely no flavour at all and no sweetness. The pandan slush was not blended properly almost like a shaved ice consistency and the bubbles were so soggy. We couldn’t even finish our drinks. The bubble waffle was mediocre. On top of that we waited 25 minutes for our order. Would’ve asked for a refund if we lived closer to the location.
This place has been one of my favourite Filipino owned shop!! Not only are their bubble waffles soft and chewy, and their drinks are refreshing but their hospitality has been so on point. They treat you as if you were their family and are always so welcoming! Thank you for serving such wonderful products : I think you guys should give it a try!
Just mediocre bubble tea experience. I was really hoping they’d be amazing because I’m also Filipino and like their flavours but we ordered 5 drinks and sadly none of them were remarkable. Pricing is good but unsure if that’s just intro pricing. If you’re into the interesting flavours it might be interesting for you, but as hardcore bubble tea addicts - wasn’t repeatable for us.
