Safeway Chestermere Station

How embarrassing for the Safeway in Chestermere alberta. This will be the second time in the last 3 months and the third time in the last year that I've had to leave my groceries at your checkout because there's nobody working your till. Your self-service open but they don't accept cash and also I don't work for you so I'd like to have a till where I can use cash and talk to human attendant. I would have thought that customer service was still Paramount but I guess when you're that big you don't really care what your customers think. Great business plan. 9:40pm April 1 2025

It's convenient to have close to home. As a retired employee of 29 years I know how service was then and you could never get away with not smiling at a customer or greeting them.nMost of the cashiers are rude and look like robots.nSomeone should take the time to encourage their staff to be kind and curious.. or just smile and acknowledge that I'm a paying customer!nOk rant over..

Store is pretty awesome, but the staff forces you to use the stupidest self checkout machines ever. I was buying 10 packets of creme filled bun at 9.45 pm. Cashier told me tills are closed I have to use self checkout since Im paying with debit. Scan the item place it on the weighing scale till the machine calculates if im buying the right stuff * 10 times, whereas the cashier could instantly change the quantity of the items at the till.

This is a safe place to be if you don't want to go to Walmart or Costco and save on gas. They have reduced their baby section baby items with no milk bottles or any much variety of formulas or diapers but shoppers can be helpful in that case.nThe best part is they carry organic milk and other fresh produce always in stock! Staff is freindly and helpful, nice clean place for grocery shopping with kids or all alone.

Good stock, strange setup to get used to. But good clean store with lots of parking
