I really wish there was an option to not give any stars. If so this place would definitely quality. Went in to get a prescription filled today and right away they said they wouldn't fill the entire prescription because my benefits most likely wouldn't cover them. I asked if they could check my plan to see if it did and even though I asked a couple times it seemed checking was too hard a task. The pharmacist wasn't good at explaining anything and had a bit of an attitude which just made me mad. She wasn't listening to what I had to say, wouldn't check my plan to see what was covered and didn't have enough medication I needed in stock to even provide a three-month prescription which was less than what my doctor prescribed. It seems these folks always run short on meds because this is not the first time a prescription could not be filled properly. This pharmacy used to be decent but the folks I dealt with today were not and I will never go back. Customer service isn't hard but the folks working there today have no clue. I went straight to Shoppers Drug Mart after leaving this pharmacy and Shoppers was great! The pharmacist explained things to me in a friendly, clear manner and they were able to fill the prescription without any problems.
I have been going to this Safeway forever. I have noticed that the store is going down in customer service. Many cashiers are not polite, don’t make you feel comfortable and you can tell they hate their job. So why work in customer service if you hate people?Too often I have experienced this attitude. I know it is not an easy job, people can be difficult, but it is time for the manager to step up to the plate and make their employees be responsible for their bad behaviour. Nothing ever seems to change. I will no longer be coming to this location. Who needs to be on pins and needles while standing in line. No thanks! It happens WAY TOO OFTEN.
The Starbucks here is to be avoided. We visited because we thought it was a drive through. It isn't, it is on the second floor and tricky to get to. For a long time no one was actually attending to customers so lots walked away. Luckily. But the drinks were all goofed up so the hassles were really not worth it.
One of the worst Safeway experiences I've had. Half of the shelves were empty. I should have quit after I saw the state of the produce section. This trip to Safeway made Save-On look good.
This place has gone downhill. My mom got a $25 giftcard for Safeway recently online, and then we were told at the checkout we can’t use gift cards, and that gift cards haven’t been working at any Safeways for weeks. If this is true, you should be putting up a sign saying that giftcards aren’t being accepted right now. It’s one thing to not accept them, but you should be putting up signs saying that you don’t accept them right now. There was zero signs anywhere. Jasika, the cashier that served us, didn’t even say sorry for the inconvenience or anything. She was just trying to rush us out even though there was no one behind us. Was even walking away from us several times. The other cashiers were running around extremely confused with another situation behind us, three cashiers looking at a bunch of money. Your cashiers need to be trained better and if you aren’t accepting a form of payment, you should state so somewhere at the till. Also the homeless women is begging for food and money in the parking lot the past 2 times I’ve been there within two weeks. She yells at people when they say no, and it’s uncomfortable. Please hire security to escort to protect your customers.
I went to this branch tonight in Dec 23rd and I got some lime that a person came to me that we are closed. I told him ok I'm just gonna grab a juice very quick. Then a women who was in charge of self-checkout came to me furiously that we are closed. She seemed disrespectuful to me while saying repeatedly we are closed. She called her colleague that one person is left.Idk her name ... They hadn't locked the door and didn't even allow me to grab a juice to finish my shopping. Also the first impression I got from them wasn't welcoming at all as it was their fault that let me in near closing time. We as customers understand that the store wanna close on time but it's really good if the personels can stay calm and behave customers in a good manner till last minutes!!!! Not a good experience at all
Umm...well, I went in & discovered there were a lot of sales on stuff that day. This place is spacious and open. Clean too. Entry to liquor store through the parkade is an interesting choice.
Good selection of fresh baked goods. Vegan section is slowly getting better. Lots of convenient free parking.
Weird layout but it's usually not too busy compared to other grocery stores in the area. Definitely on the pricier side but prices are ridiculous everywhere as capitalism collapses on itself.
Understaffed, often only one person at the till, maybe one at the deli if you're lucky. Limited selection, bizarre layout. Would go elsewhere if it wasn't across the street.
