I am a long time customer. They have one of the best Persian bread in BC. They always have fresh crunchy delicious mouthwatering bread available. Highly recommended, it never lets you down. I wish they had more branches. Location of convenient and store is clean. Staff are friendly Ideas to improve: - They are popular and I can imagine they are running out of specific types of bread. It happened to me couple of times that they do not have whole wheat plain. - They recently increased the price to $3.50. It used to be some discount when you buy more.
Very organized store with great smell of fresh bread. I like how they have frozen option as well frozen pizza dough and bread. The desserts looks delicious but I didn’t taste any yet, hopefully it tastes as good as it looks like. I tried barbari bread and it was super tasty and very soft! Overall nice bakery
The best bread in Vancouver. Flat breads are really tasty and fresh. Can be stored easily in the freezer and once toasted, super fresh and tasty again. Their yogurt and cheeses also taste pretty good. They have a few selection of Iranian products such as conservatives.
Love the breads, Flat whole wheat and Barbary whole wheat are the best. I hope the bake more sandwich breads for sale. They have great Sandwiches and Pizzas before but they are making them anymore.
Didn't know about this place at all-came across in Google search for bread after first checking out Bad Dog Bread which is just a 10 minute walk away. Saboos is in the Capilano business park. Other posted pictures show shelves with bread. Those shelves have now been replaced with food products packaged/jarred/canned so they have expanded, closer to a delicatessen. Was surprised to find a lot of interesting things, especially the unsalted butter. However, we came for the bread and it was delicious. We got the whole wheat version. The butter was also very good and creamy. We also bought blueberry/pomegranate pastries. There were just the two left so we were drawn to them. I think the phyllo was a little undercooked inside and to be honest the filling was very bland. I think they just used some commercial filling. We will definitely return for the bread and I'm interested to try some of the items in the fridges. A great one-stop shop for bread and to fill your pantry.
This is the first time I shopped from them but had heard a lot of good reviews. We want whole wheat bread and they have variety of them.
One of the best Persian style bakeries in North Van. They run out of their barbari very fast so make sure you call in advance to make sure they keep some for you.
Great little Persian Bakery. Very nice friendly staff and very clean store. Bread is always nice and fresh. Great cream puffs.
I have been buying their breads for almost 4 years when a pane cost less than $3.00 each. All these time we enjoyed good quality bread at reasonable price. This year we experienced two prince hike of $.50 each time and now the price of a pane is $3.99. I understand and accept the price hike as inflation and Covid justify it. However, the quality has gone down the hill which is not acceptable. The bread has now too much rising agent, the ingredients have changed drastically and most of the time it is too thin in the middle and quite thick around the edges. The taste is totally off the original bread that we knew. I understand, it is artisan bread. But this drastic change in taste and bake is not acceptable. It seems that the focus is on the bottom line rather product quality and consumer satisfaction. As a person in food processing business, I have seen this short sightedness few times and the eventual fall of the business due to it. Please improve your quality before losing your market share in the tough business of Artisan Bread.
Us Iranians usually miss the flavour of Iranians bread here in Canada. I love this place with their original breads. try their Barbary and you understand what I mean!! we also get our pizza dough from this place because it is super fresh! They have a pretty good Halva Sweet as well!
