Ordered take out and feel ripped off. I ordered the steak medium and it came blue rare and tough not tender. So disappointed I can’t even eat my lunch. Soup was good
First off let me start off by saying that my steak was cooked to perfection, however... We had ordered the New Year's special at $149 for two of us. Unfortunately it was not worth it. The entree was 3 prawns, they were tasty however 3 for the two of us? The main course arrived, it was on one plate where we were to take our share. The oysters rockafeller turned out to be one 1 between two of us, but tasty. The 6 prawns shrimp between the two of us were small. The lobster tail had no taste and the dipping butter as another couple commented was very watery & bland. Garlic Mashed potatoes were good. The dessert was a 'velvet cheese cake', tasty but very small. Disappointing but a sign of the times I suppose, was the servers wore whatever suited them. In earlier years for New Years the staff was dressed accordingly for the occasion. I would have given this a 2 star except for a good server, Jen.
The service was great, food was good but the oysters were really small.Food: 5/5
We participated in the surf and turf special for New Years Eve. The meal was fantastic, the steak was perfectly cooked and it was fun that it was served family style! Our server Thomas was very accommodating. It would have been perfect if there had been a better sound system. The music was hard to hear and the acoustics were really bad. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Hidden gem. So bougie for Red Deer, I'd expect something like this more in a large city, which is a huge compliment for this restaurant! Haven't had escargot since I was last in Paris, France. They were great! Fish was a little dry but the oysters were good!
Treated ourselves out for dinner tonight and was not impressed. Standing at the entrance and being told three times someone will be right with us, they were not. Ordered oysters Rockefeller and stuffed mushrooms with prawns for appetizers. Oysters were small, did not taste Rockefeller and stuffed mushrooms were just mushrooms with cream cheese and a prawn on top the sauce they were placed on was the tastiest part. The Cajun Snapper tasted like frozen rubber fish, it was thin and over cooked, served with unimpressive carrots, broccoli and plain rice. Sorry, won't be back.
I ordered steak sandwich, French fries, blue rare, hot veggies with fresh garden salad before. The potatoe wedges I got were dried out and tasteless, the hot veggies were missing, and my steak was well done. The salad was ok and the toast was tolerable but i couldn't taste any garlic so idk if it was supposed to have it. The waitress did well but the food was terrible. I will NEVER waste my money in this establishment again! I wish I could rate it NEGITIVE 10
Please share, the worst New Year's Eve dinner l have ever had. Appatizer 3shrimp for 2 people minutes steak is the best they could do No Kidding desert the size of a toonie.$155.00 we got to share one plate.Never Never again. We laughed when we seen there so called Special.
Food was great with reasonable price. Nice service. But mussels were little too salty. Cutlery should be on the table with food but we had to waited for getting folks. Needed more attention to us.
The food was very good and the restaurant itself is a very relaxing atmosphere. But the staff, we were greeted and got sat to our table, no problem. The was one lady going around and cleaning all the tables and making sure everyone had water, but she was not the waitress. We did see another 3 more waitress around. The one waitress who was ours, it looks like she was taking all the tables for her self. Took forever for her to take our order. The food came out good enough by someone else. When we were done our food she asked if we wanted desert, we said yes and ordered it along with the bill. The desert came, but the bill did not, then we asked for the bill again, and still waited a long time, we finally got up and went to the bar to pay and still had to wait for her. We finally paid and left. We got there at 5:30 and left at 7. We had an appointment for 7 and was late. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I would suggest they get more staff or someone that knows what they are doing.
