Purchased a greek salad today with added lamb/gyro meat and I didn't eat it as soon as I got home because I wanted to prepare my REAL dinner and this was only suppose to be a snack but as I was preparing to eat it on the pitas that came with my food I noticed a long piece of hair that was either in the salad or the gyro meat either way it was in my food. This is indeed my first and last time eating here. I would advise anyone else to proceed with caution. My only regret is me changing my mind about eating there because then I would've discovered it at the time and immediately demanded a refund.
- Big portions. - Food is flavorful. - I ordered the lamb and beef handheld and Greek fries. - My wife ordered a chicken kabob plate. Chicken was a little dry but this was at 6:30PM in a Wednesday night.
I'm sorry this is a sorry excuse for creek food. Gyros tastes nothing like gyros only looks like it and the fries are so bitter from old oil you can tell clearly. Customer service is not so great, employee was very attitudish when asked questions and almost doesn't want to look at the customer. This is not s restaurant you would anticipate to be in a mall like oak brook.
Never again, gave me left over chicken pieces in my handheld and not the freshly shaved roasted ones. Asked to change but the guy just ignored me and said they weren't cooked yet which was a blatant lie.
Gyro was healthy portion, fresh and delicious. I'll be back.
Very disappointed in this place. The taste and ingredients are not quality. The tahini/hummus tastes like pool water and the meat is barely flavorful. The orzo was not very flavorful either. The food was lukewarm at best. They at least give you a good amount of meat. The pita is about the only thing that doesn't need improving.
Good was just ok. The have meat on the rotisserie, but instead of shaving it freshly for you they keep it in a pan with a lid. The worst part was unfortunately the staff. Drink cups are put right in front of customers and when grabbed the workers become very upset and rude.
If you’ve had Greek before, this is pretty poor quality, especially for Oakbrook. I give this place 6 months before it’s gone. The gyro meat is ok, the chicken is dry, the salad is wilty and nothing tastes fresh. The customer service was also unfriendly and abrupt. They charged my mother in law extra for including dressing with her salad.
Ordered egg lemon soup and when I brought it back to my table it tasted and smelled spoiled. Went back to the guy at the register and when I told him that the soup was not good and tasted like it went bad he told me that it was made fresh that day. I asked him to smell my soup and he wouldn’t then he went ahead and tasted some of his soup behind the counter and said it tasted fine to him and shrugged. You won’t last in the restaurant business acting that way and treating customers like they don’t know what they’re talking about. Sad that I had high expectations for this place.
Nice and small place to eat. Efficient and easy. Quick notes—salads cost $2.30 extra for main course toppings aka “fillings”falafel, roti, kabob. **the menu says $2.30 for EXTRA fillings but really there is a base fee for any at all. Worker behind the counter did not give me a complimentary pita with my salad and was rude/monotonous when I asked about pricing and sauce options. Usually I’m not big on customer service but places like these remind me how easily food spoils when those who serve it are lacking.
