4 stars because I haven't tried the bread I bought yet. But the service was top notch. The deserts super fresh and bog hahaha. My husband says the will be our new bakery to go. Today was my first time there. Make sure you google address because you can't see sign unless you are going towards Jane from black creek. 3 different types of cannelloni and since my son is allergic to cheese this was an amazing find.
Stumbled on this wonderful gem of a bakery. Great Portuguese pastries, coffee, fresh breads & friendly staff. Try their custard tarts, that are by far the best I've ever had. Also they have these yummy cod & potato fritters that are too good not to eat in one sitting.
Truly Disappointed With My Purchase. I ordered my baby shower cake from the shop and many things went wrong: 1. It was supposed to be done for 12pm it was done at 1pm on the event date, things like this become stressful 2. What I asked for was not what I received the following pictures display what I wanted verse what I got I was told they would make it exactly as the picture I showed and explained 3. The cake was very unstable and the bakery didn’t even provide me with a proper box that could carry the cake and fully cover it 4. It was extremely sweet after I specially stated I would prefer for it not to be too sweet and the products used did not seem fresh 5. The design and writing on the cake was horrible I was so disappointed and of course having no other choice because my baby shower was in a few hours I took the cake and left. But I do not recommend this bakery as they say they can meet your expectations but end up disappointing the customer.
Nice bakery, nice employees, but the fried donuts taste like fish!..... Maybe they should fry fish and donuts in different vats.....unless their going for "fishy donuts"...... I hope they fix that, I like the bread and having a donut on the ride home.
Love the place. I have been going since it opened. Their Tosta sandwich is to die for. Some days the pastries are not super fresh but that is expected to not waste too much food.
The Royal Bakery is my bakery of choice. The food is always good. The service is prompt. The servers have unique personalities that add to the fun atmosphere. I enjoy the mix of people who gather there for coffee, tea, pastries and a variety of conversations!
Sadly, this bakery is currently permanently closed. There are notices on the doors stating the business has been evicted by the landlord.
I would give zero stars if I could. Third time was a charm for me. I went there three times because it’s the closest bakery to my house and the three times I went ,the pastries I brought were hard and didn’t taste fresh. Not going back.
I was honestly going to give this place 5 stars. Iv been going to this place for about 2 years. 3 to 5 times a week spending about $10 to $15 bucks each time on coffee dounuts in the morning and sometimes lunch to take to work with me when I forget to bring one. I never sit in like 3 times a year max . Like alot of people during the last two years I got a new pet Meet Vincent!! . he can't stay at home in the day time so he comes to work with me most days. At first when he was a puppy I was using a bike cart. The staff would come out to see him because.. well he is cute. Vincent is bigger now and I like to walk him to work so we both get a little exercise. He is doing well with training very costly. I was shocked and a little upset to find yesterday that when stopping off to get my take out morning coffee on the way to work with Vincent . I was told no pets at the door. That same woman was petting Vincent only two months before. The royal bakery is not a pet friendly business even just for take out. So if you have a dog and want to get take away . Don't count on it. They do have a side padio where you can bring a dog . However you would have to leave your dog unattended. not doing that While walking into work today I found out that the shop down the street called super coffee is dog friendly. So ill be spending all my morning coffee money there and Vincent might even get a cookie.
The most delicious cake. And such nice people! My family doesn’t live in Toronto and it’s my 30th birthday. Because of the pandemic we aren’t able to get together. My mother was able to do something really special with the help of my sneaky boyfriend with the help of Royal Bakery. They were very kind and gracious to do something so lovely at last minute. Thank you so much!!! It’s beautiful and so so TASTY.
