Rotisserie Romados

About

The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious and fresh. The portions were big ! Been to other similar Portuguese restaurants with similar menu and this was by far the best. The chicken had a beautiful flavor and the fries tasted really good. The pastel de nata were fresh and tasty too! The prices are also pretty competitive. Would definitely return and recommend
Amaaaaazzing chicken sandwiches. Holy. One of the best I've ever had in my life. So juicy and saucy and roasted to perfection. I can't recommend Romados enough. You've got to try it. They also have Portuguese egg tarts! The chicken comes with fries or salad or both. When we ordered takeout, our food was buried in a mountain of fries, which was fun. It's very filling and worth it. 10/10. I can't wait to go back.
Run-of-the-mill Portuguese restaurant with a smaller menu but decent options. The portions were quite large, which was good, but the fries themselves were a bit greasier than i like and not very crisp. That's just a personal preference of mine. The chicken sandwich was decent. But my overall highlight was their donuts, which have a Nutella filling. They're light but delicious. The food is inexpensive for what you get, so i would come back again if in the area. Kid-friendliness: We are there with our 4 kids, and the staff was nice about it. Parking: It's all Street parking, which is very limited. It's best to take public transit. Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't see a wheelchair accessible entrance. You need to climb about 4 steps.
We had the chorriso, 1/4 chicken and poutine. Chicken was juicy but not enough of the Portuguese sauce. Chorriso was a bit on the dry side. Poutine was good with thick cut fries. Portion we were large for the cost so it was really good value.
Ordered a family meal to share and subbed fries for poutine, everything was delicious. Salad was fresh, fries well seasoned and gravy hot enough to melt the cheese, the chicken was juicy and tender. Service was quick and friendly. Quality for price was excellent.
Great Portuguese chicken and bakery. A bit on the salty side but the peri peri sauce compliment it really well. Portion is BIG, so order small portion if you want to try for variety. Parking right across the street, so a great stop before heading home to Toronto.
I am updating my review to neutral since it has been quite some time since my last experience here and personally I think it wouldn't be fair to keep my original review in that condition for longer than 3 months. Best wishes.
The best take out meal. Spicy chicken sauce is perfection. The amount of fries they can pack into one box is unbelievable. Real value for money. The salad was kind of small with sad old lettuce... but nobody's coming here for the salad!Food: 5/5
Poutine was good and portion was extremely large. Had a quarter chicken and salad. The dressing was a bit oily, too oily, to enjoy. Friendly service, helped me navigate the Menu. Chicken was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. Would eat here again but not go out of my way to visit.
What happened? Romados has been my goto place for Portuguese chicken for years, and it was always great -- crispy grilled chicken, tangy sauce, great fries with some nice seasoning on them. But we got food from there last night and it was not the same. The chicken was pale and flavourless, and it was swimming in a strange orange sauce, like something out of a slightly nasty bottle. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. Totally disappointing. The whole meal was below-average. Not at all what I expected from Romados. Did they fire all the cooks and replace them with people who hate food? Please, bring back the way it used to be.
