Rosetta McClain Gardens is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the city. The meticulously curated botanical displays are a testament to the dedication and care put into maintaining this tranquil oasis. The breathtaking views of Lake Ontario coupled with the well-manicured gardens create an atmosphere of serenity and natural beauty. The walking paths are a joy to explore, offering a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. This hidden sanctuary is a perfect spot for relaxation, contemplation, or a leisurely stroll. Rosetta McClain Gardens is a five-star destination for nature lovers and those seeking a moment of peace in the midst of the city's rush.
I recently visited Rosetta McClain Gardens for an evening walk with my family, and it was a delightful experience. Despite living in the area for a decade, I had never stopped by before. The garden's serene setting, overlooking the lake, provided a comforting atmosphere for our stroll. The well-kept pathways and vibrant flowers added to its charm. While I once had to leave my dog at home due to their no-dog policy, I now appreciate how it contributes to the garden's peaceful ambiance. It's a perfect spot to escape the city's hustle and immerse oneself in the beauty of nature. If you seek tranquility and a chance to connect with nature's wonders, Rosetta McClain Gardens is a must-visit.
It's nice to go there in the fall.... Especially with their declarations for Halloween.... Very peaceful... A good place to chill.. The bathroom stay open until the end of October.. . Thumbs up...
Lovely park to spend an hour or two. Plenty of benches. Beautiful flowers and butterflies. Lake views above the bluffs. Not a lot of parking but enough during a week day. A nice hidden gem for Scarborough!
A really nice get away to calm yourself and taking a walk. Well maintained and parking by the entrance. My favourite is the view of the lake from the top. There's a fence in between though. Overall worth a visit Dog-friendliness: Have seen dog lovers here Picnic area: I don't thing you can do BBQ here
Such a beautiful park. The perfect place to take pictures, observe nature, bird watch, admire flowers, sit down with family, & great views of the waterfront! Stone waterfall in the centre of the park, lovely gazebo, and remaining house structure that l photograph extremely well! Every direction you looked was just stunning! There are signs that state no bicycles or dogs - but there were of course both in this area! Raccoons by the structure and garbages near the parking lot- but didn’t bother us/ anyone. Always noticed this area across of Birchmount Stadium but never visited. Hidden Gem - you don’t know what the gardens holds / how nice it is until you take a visit!
Beautiful quiet park. It's quite serene with plenty of benches around. The gardens are well maintained and filled with beautiful flowers. Tons of green space to lay out a blanket for a picnic. Some areas of shade and areas for those who enjoy the sun. There's a cute gazebo there too. You can also get a nice view of the water if you walk along the fence.
Not too big but beautiful! I am glad I found this beautiful place in Scarborough. It has trails to walk, resembles a botanical garden, beautiful trees and flowers. The only down side that it is not too big and in 15-20 minutes you can walk around it. I saw people with tents and bbq baskets too. Very nice.
Such a serenity while I was there. For me the best park I ever visited in Toronto. In terms of maintaining the park, its beauty is worth going. Thank you to the authority who is managing. I can stay all day long : You must visit.
During the summer, the garden is so peaceful and beautiful, and you’re also able to see Lake Ontario from the garden. I’m in love with this place.
