Rooster’s Bistro is a locally owned and operated restaurant that offers the finest homemade breakfast and lunch menu. The restaurant opened in April 2003 with three principles in mind: good food, good service and a clean atmosphere. For fifteen straight years, Rooster’s Bistro has delivered on those principles and remains a favourite in the Thunder Bay community. Rooster’s Bistro relies on local distributors to deliver the freshest food products daily in order to serve a high quality, homemade meal every time. I went to Rooster's Bistro last Friday with my BILs Mom and my Nana and we absolutely loved it. There was something on the menu for everyone (my Nana is diabetic and a light eater) everything we ordered was delicious! - we had Finn pancakes, rooster wrap, reuben sandwich, yam fries and cinnamon bun's. The cinnamon bun's were the best I've ever had! They were so light and fluffy with a perfectly sticky and sweet cinnamon filling (seriously do not change these). All of the staff were super friendly, helpful, and very accommodating with my Nana's mobility issues. If you're looking for a great sit-down breakfast or lunch or catering/take-out I'd highly recommend Rooster's Bistro. Their food is fantastic and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hardest part about Rooster's is leaving enough room to have dessert. *Rooster's is wheelchair and walker friendly

Pretty long waits for food but the food is pretty good. Good dessert selection and good parking near by bit it's metered so you have to pay before 6pm.

Having been here twice, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Let's start with the food. It's breakfast and lunch, not really a rediculous variety. Overall, it's what you would expect from a decent breakfast place. And when you can get it, the food is satisfactory. And the wait staff, they seemed to be doing their best and they are polite. The negativity seems to center around the one manager/owner who is both a bully, and a very poor manager. Basically his incompentance makes for a very stressful environment as he berates staff and creates an atmosphere of panic and confusion. In the hustle and bustle of getting everything served in time, they have forgotten the craft of service. Having worked as a waiter, I can usually tell when the problem is front of house or the kitchen, and it's definitely the front of house manager who is the crux of the problem. Ultimately it's that person's job to make it all happen. His incompentance makes for delays, and those delays are excused for his abuse of staff. So if it's empty, I'm sure you can get a decent experience. And with enough people who do get a decent experience, because the food is often respectable, the place continues. But if it's busy, expect stress, bullying, and a poor experience. I'll never go there again, and I doubt anyone in my extended family will either. And maybe my experience isn't supported by everyone, but the other 1 star comments are spot on. I hope the staff get a new chance to shine.
