Roosevelt doesn't pay there staff enough to give a rats butt, I used to be a regular but none of the good staff or servers stay its revolving door with very high attrition. I have seen very poor service here for patrons and anyone that just comes in observed over the past three years They don't seem to have any type of standard or company motto to even follow. The managers are very approachable and will address issues but the problems are beyond them. Its an owner problem maybe call Gordon Ramsey or that Italian guy to come and save this place. Just because you have building 4 walls a roof & alcohol. Doesn't make it a restaurant. I enjoy hanging at the wood as its the quickest way to get service. The time i got a table i literally had to walk you to the bar order my own drink and go back to my table, that was a first for any restaurant for me. I though maybe it was because they where short staffed they weren't as i observed the servers trying to dividing up tables because they represent higher tips. This is 17th Ave so i don't take poor service like this seriously. I just get up and leave lets not forget parking is not free outside either. Options available are so many such as The Social, Home & Away ,or go to 4th usually better serviced venues. Lifes to short for restaurants that suck leave there many more that value your money.

Booked a birthday party at this pub and was really disappointed with both the service and the food. When we showed up the host told me they shouldn't have booked us because they were too full (it was a little awkward- I almost felt guilty?) and they didn't give us enough chairs for the number of people I had reserved. When the food came, lots of people's orders were cold (one order was sent back to be reheated- it came back warm on top and freezing in the middle...) and to be honest not super tasty (steak super tough, poutine soggy, etc etc). The manager offered us a 10% discount on the bill and a free beer the next time we came in, but honestly I won't be hurrying back to this spot. Poor party service.

Food is not that great. Good location downtown but I would suggest more for drinks and a place to meet friends.

I've tried this place quite a few times, and really used to like this location before it changed. It just doesn't seem to have a great vibe that makes me want to come back.
