Came in today looking for a part for my shower for a girl standing around all of the ages of around 16 to 17 year-old had no idea what I was looking for you can see they were definitely not trained. They proceeded to get the manager the manager came over and to my surprise he had no idea what he was talking about. My advice is if you’re looking for something in a hardware store take the time to go to home hardware or drive to the city because the staff here has absolutely no idea what they’re talking about.
Got told one price over the phone for a shed. Hooked up my trailer and drove 15 minutes to the store to pick up. Then once there the manager changed his mind and tried to change the price quoted. Walked out without the shed.
Save your time and money and don’t shop here. Run by teenagers with “manager” roles who don’t know a thing about customer service or common sense. Bought a gazebo Sunday morning, said it would be ready by noon for pick up and was an hour and a half hour away. We wanted to make sure it would fit our vehicle before making the trip, so I called to get the dimensions as they weren’t available on the website. Spoke to someone who sounded like a child and could not give me any information, was put on hold for 10 mins and then hung up on. Called back and she tried again to put me on hold. Finally another 20 mins later, someone picks up and tells me that “because it’s the weekend, they don’t have anyone there to get the measurements because it’s in the warehouse” so I asked how would we be expected to pick it up if no one can reach it? She replied “I guess you can’t.” And I told her that that was unprofessional and absolutely unheard of. What if I hadn’t called first and we made the hour and a half drive to get it when we got the pick up email? She said she didn’t know and would get her manager and I was put on hold again for 40 minutes. Her apparent manager picked up and started reading a script as if I called a call center and kept talking over me, repeating that when I get the confirmation email I can pick it up. I had to raise my voice to get her to shut up for a single second and asked why I was just told that I wouldn’t be able to pick it up? She tells me “no, there’s one person working in yard but when they are done with their customers they can get it out for you” and I said okay but again, why was I told otherwise? She completely ignored me and asked if I still wanted the measurements, I said yes and reminded her that we live an hour and a half away. We would like to not make the drive and then find out it’s too big or it’s not even available for pick up. She repeated again that once I got the confirmation email it would be ready and she would find the dimensions and put me on hold AGAIN.nnAnother 10 MORE mins and the first girl picks up the phone and again tells me that there’s no one to get the gazebo for us and she didn’t know why I was still on hold. I got really frustrated and asked then why did her manager just tell us that there was someone able to get it and that she was on her way to get the dimensions?! Why are we being told two different things and playing phone tag for over an hour now?! She went “uhhh I’ll check with my manager” and two mins later the other woman picks up the phone. I ask her again why her employees keep telling me there’s no one to get our item and she says otherwise?! We would have been at their store by now if we hadn’t been given such a run around. She AGAIN ignored me and asked if I wanted the dimensions or not, I said YES THATS WHY I CALLED IN THE FIRST PLACE.nnTurns out the item was too large for our vehicle and if your store had the proper information displayed on your website and hired employees with the littlest bit of competence, this would have been a 10 min conversation. Cancelled our order and will get it somewhere else. Save your time and money because you will never get an accurate answer or straight story from these employees. People do outdoor projects on the weekends. To be told that we couldn’t get the item we paid for and was supposed to be ready for pick up in 2 hours is beyond ridiculous and over an hour on the phone being lied to and dismissed is incredibly unprofessional.nn*Update* we bought the same gazebo somewhere else and it fit perfectly in the car. Useless employees who do nothing but lie.

Service was poor and they tried to convince us not to buy a product as they didn’t want to help us get it down.Being used to Canadian tire and HomeHardware we will be sticking with those stores in future
