Rome's Your Independent Grocer

This was a very nice, large grocery store that carried everything me and my friends wanted to take to the cabin. Each section has well stocked, and there was plenty of variety. There were some nice locally made sausages that tasted great, and the bakery section had some delicious butter tarts for sale. I was very happy shopping here for food.

I like Rome’s because of the PC points. It’s one of the more expensive grocery stores in town though it has a large selection of goods. I also love the presidents choice branding- very reliable and consistent.nBig parking lot and great hours.nAlways clean & lots of options.

This grocery store is great, sure it's more expensive than others in town, but it offers so much more variety.nnAlways finding new and interesting foreign items to try along with the classic favorites.nnMy only complaint and the reason this isn't a 5 star review is because of having to walk through the smell of the fish department.nnHonestly today it smelled like an abandoned tuna barge left baking in the sun.

Generally a wide selection of items and nice customer service staff, but those the only redeeming factor. Perpetually too-few cashiers leading to 5min+ waits to check out, and over the last year I have repeatedly been sold deli items that have spoiled. The deals and discounts that I used to come here for have all but disappeared. Much better alternatives to Loblaws franchises in town - would avoid Rome's until they sort themselves out.

Instacart shopper... not allowed to use self checkout? Fine... put more cashiers on the floor. We are trying to shop fast and having to wait 20 mins to checkout COSTS US MONEY... annoying!
