Our kids love going here making it a special weekend plan! The process of making the ice cream is very interesting, and the staff is very efficient! They provide suggestions when asked and are very patient with queries.
The Avocado ice icream was amazing. I went to Rollesque today, the Indian girl was so patient and nice to me and my bf. Our customerized ice cream was so fullfilled and worth it for the price. However, when I came here last weekend, a different server so mean to me. Her voice and her attitude weren’t friendly at all. Lucky for her, the experience today made me so satisfied. So I rate 3 stars instead of 1.
This is one of those places I'd been meaning to go to for a long time, and I wish I hadn't taken so long! The ice cream was delicious and the presentation is so neat. The ingredients seemed good quality, except the marshmallow garnish I got was very stale. But the overall experience was so good that I can overlook it. It does take a while to make an ice cream, so I could see there being a bit of a wait if they get busy.
Returned recently. They seem to be getting better so that's great. It took less time to get my rolled ice cream. I got to try some pretty unique flavors on this visit. Avocado, purple yam and... This green one? Pandan? The last was different, but it's a very Asian dessert that I was not accustomed to. I was told the flavors are authenticly Vietnamese. I was impressed with the avocado. This was my favorite. Not a regular flavor but tasty! The purple yam was good and was interesting as it broke off into sticks? Below is my original review: The first rolled ice cream in our city. There is free parking in the the lot but it can be difficult to find parking. This is attached to one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant and has the same owners, so I was hopeful for a great experience. In the past I noticed they don't cheap out on ingredients. I was here before when they were still there banh mi shop but they have rebranded to rollesque. In the menu they have some very unique flavors like durian and Vietnamese iced coffee. I personally always go for the peanut butter and banana one as that's my favorite flavor combination, but they have a lot of general Asian ones like red bean, sesame and green tea. All the ice cream I've had so far has been solid. I love the way they decorate. If you look at my pictures they spelled roll on one of the ice creams. It is a lot of work for the ice cream. Similar to marble slab, but they make it look nicer instead of mashing it up and just putting it in a bowl, it is neatly rolled up, which I feel makes for a denser ice cream.
Specialty ice cream that is prepared right in front of you using fresh ingredients and cream. It was entertaining to watch. I had Open Sesame, it was on the sweet side but still really good. They also serve Bahn Mi, crepes and bubble tea.
Nice place with lots of seating indoors. Many enticing ice cream, crepe, and bubble tea options. Made right in front of you so you can watch the process of mixing in the toppings and rolling of the ice cream. Looks amazing and very delicious. A little of the expensive side but worth a treat!
A couple of us went to try to roll up ice cream. Small but cute shop. However, at $7.50 a dish, it most definitely is not worth that price. $4.50, maybe even $5 sure, but any higher is a rip off. It's a nice presentation but the actual quantity of ice cream doesn't even equate to that of a mini size blizzard at dairy queen. I got the strawberry one - two small strawberries were chopped up with not even a 1/2 cup of liquid ice cream that froze on the flat cold surface, which was then smoothed out flat, rolled up with a metal spatula, then put in a container with some whipped cream, a couple slices of strawberry and crackers. The strawberries weren't ripe, they were sour and gave the ice cream a sour taste. My partner had the banana peanut one - 1/6 of a banana chopped up with a tablespoon of kraft peanut butter in liquid ice cream and prepared the same way. He said the taste was good but agreed the quantity of product wasn't fair. I wanted to like this place, but we'll be going elsewhere next time.
Ice cream was crazy good, the attention to detail is impressive! We tried the ferrero rocher, monkey business and the cookies and cream. The cookies and cream will be a hit for any cookies and cream lover The ferrero rocher had Nutella in it so right there it'll be good. It was a little subtle compared to the others. Monkey business was the last and my favorite of the 3. It had banana and peanut butter and a punch of flavour throughout. You get a huge portion as well so it's totally with it. It's just awkward eating the rolls with a spoon. Can't wait to go back for bubble tea and a Vietnamese sub!
Lovely service, cute interior and the ice cream was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. My only issue would be that the spoons are very flexible and I would struggle to eat the ice cream. Overall I will definitely come back and recommend this place to a friend.
Delicious rolled icecream. Extensive menu. We had the taro, kinder bueno and nutella + peanut butter. I'm sure there are eveb better flavors that we did not try... Will come back and maybe try the avocado or cheese cake flavor for sure
