Riverside Spa offers an array of massage treatments performed by Registered Massage Therapists, facials and body wraps done with Eminence Organics Skin Care, manicures, pedicures and waxing services. Riverside Spa is conveniently located just 10 minutes outside of downtown Calgary, right along the Bow River and Bow River Pathway. I was very impressed with this spa! It was easy to book and once we arrived we were given sandals and robes. My massage with Lilian was fantastic, she worked out some tough knots in my back and then I was able to relax in the steam room and relaxation space. I will definitely be coming back to try some more of their services!
My partner and I got pedicures. The spa was so peaceful and clean. We loved the complimentary snacks and drinks. The estheticians that completed our pedicures were awesome. They did a great job but also made the visit memorable by having a great conversation with us both. Thank you! We are already planning our next couples pedicures.
My daughters and I came to the Riverside Spa for my daughter’s birthday and we had a lovely time. The spa itself if clean and relaxing, with a great steam room and lounge area. Each of us really enjoyed our service. I had a hot stone massage with James and he was great. One of my daughters had another hot stone massage unfortunately we don’t remember her name but she was also awesome. My other daughter had a regular deep massage with Edwige I hope that’s spelt right and she said the pressure was perfect. Overall a great experience with a lovely staff!
I walked in here as myself and then walked out of here a brand new person. My wife and I did the 3.5 hour retreat and it was sensational. My first time as a dude getting a facial treatment… wow. Will do that again. Great day spent here
I visited Aug 15th. I was given a generous gift for my 60th. I had a facial with Yamelys. She was an exceptional professional. I haven't had many facials, but I plan to, with her. She had me relax with some calming breaths, then commenced the multi-stage treatment. I floated away and felt peaceful and calm. The entire experience is worthwhile for a treat to oneself or a loved one. I can't recommend Riverside and their team and facility highly enough.
Absolutely delightful! I got a massage from Tammy and a pedicure from Jordan and both of the services I received were phenomenal. Great amenities here as well. Fantastic experience.
Normally I would have a great experience at this spa, but unfortunately, one massage from Lilian Gonzalez was so horrific that it warrants for this one-star review. Come to this spa, but don't book with Lilian. It feels like she was on the phone or doing something with her other hand. Getting a massage with one hand vs 2 hands is unacceptable. Another thing that didn't settle with me well was her sitting on the massage table at a point of my massage. The pressure was so inconsistent too. Leaving this massage upset and stressed me out even more. Avoid booking with her and request another therapist.
Tanis body wrap, Edwige massage, Crystal facial and both Receptionists were super friendly, polite and professional. Very relaxing and beautiful environment. I will definitely be returning.
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Riverside. All of the staff are so professional and friendly. Sweet little escape! My hands felt 5 years younger after my manicure. My daughter was very happy with her facial. She loved it! We will be back. Thank you!
Editing review to add: I was just pampered with another package - I spent the afternoon with Jordan and had a signature facial, mani and pedi done. It was so relaxing and my skin, hands and feet look amazing. She was knowledgeable about all the different products and did a great job with all the treatments. Thank you Jordan for a wonderful afternoon!! Original review: I’m not really a spa person but was treated to a gift certificate so I decided to get a pregnancy massage. I was given a key to my locker and showed my way to the change room where I could store my bag and change into a robe and slippers. The waiting room across the hall has comfy sofas and loungers where you can sip water, lemonade or a tea while you wait for your appointment. My massage therapist was Edwige and she was amazing. The room was comfortable and there was soft music playing in the background. The pillows were setup on the table so I could lie down on my belly. I was able to close my eyes, relax and she checked in a few times to make sure the amount of pressure she used was right. The hour flew by. After my massage, I enjoyed a nice hot shower in the change room. The showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash from Rocky Mountain Soap Company one of my favs and they have towels, Eminence body lotion, razors, deodorant, hair dryers and brushes and combs for guests to use. There’s also a steam room but I didn’t use it. The facility was very clean and the ambiance was calm and relaxing. Yes, spas are expensive but considering that I pay nearly the same amount for a mobile massage therapist, the very slightly higher cost, which allows me to use the spa facilities, is well worth it. My husband gifted me a mani/pedi/facial package for my birthday and I’m going back in a couple of weeks again. I’m looking forward to going back and trying out other services. I enjoyed my first experience here and the front desk staff that I spoke to on the phone and dealt with in person were lovely and professional. Would recommend!
