Riverside Motel & Marina

Clean enough, no bugs noted. Smells like great grandmas house. Air conditioning works very poorly, rooms are small and only full size mattresses. My room has tv, coffee pot, refrigerator and microwave all plugged into a power strip that have the ground plugs removed because none of the wall sockets have ground plugs. This place is ancient and in desperate need of repair and definitely not worth the 135 dollars a night, oh and they are pet friendly for an extra 15 dollars a night.

If you're planning on taking a charter out to fish on Lake Michigan, than it's an ideal location as all you have to do is walk to the dock right behind the motel. But, for the price, it's a very outdated motel with tube TV's, bathrooms, and old carpet. Could've gotten a better room not much farther away for the same price.

Great location with smallish rooms deserving some refurbishment, come with fridge + microwave + outdoor picnic area with outlook on the river; friendly staff. Good base station to enjoy the river (board)walk, either to the beach or to 'downtown'.

I really enjoyed ataying at this Motel. It was clean, and quaint. The owners were very nice and accommodating! The Charter boats came in about 11am on the days we were there and it was fun to watch all the guys with their fish, having them fileted and taking pictures. It is also right next to downtown Manistee so.i walked into town 3-4 times and also along the Riverwalk. It was very nice. I plan on coming back. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it needs a few updates and new pillows. This is not for the luxury, snooty, people. This is a nice, calm relaxing long weekend. We also watched a Freighter go by. Picture of the fresh Salmon our next door neighbors caught & shared with us!
