Nestled among the pines of the Manistee National Forest in Northern Michigan, you’ll find a special, hidden gem, a place that’s all about golf.
At Manistee National Golf & Resort we offer you two distinctive par-71 courses created by some of Michigan’s finest names in golf design. These courses, Canthooke Valley, designed by Gary Pulsipher, and Cutters’ Ridge, by Jerry Matthews, together provide 36 holes of championship-style exciting golf, some of the best playing adventures in the state.

A group of us has been going here annually for well over 20 years. Very nice people, clean rooms and helpful staff. Courses are challenging (for me anyway) but we play all scrambles and and switch up the foursomes. Courses are always in great shape. We started with 8 golfers and have 44 going this year. Too many but hardly anyone drops out and people are waiting to join the group. Only variable is the weather and it has been mostly good all these years.

Manistee National is always a great place to golf! Great courses, friendly professional staff, and good food and drink options in the grille@

Play the Cutters course for the first time this year - just as good as the front course and less crowded

Rooms are nice. I had double bed room with mini fridge, complimentary coffee, plenty of dresser drawer space and hanging space for clothing. Staff members accommodating and friendly. Continental breakfast served in mornings and coffee available in lobby. Indoor and outdoor pool. Golf course looked great (not a golfer myself). Clubhouse/restaurant great.

Very nice, spacious rooms, very clean, friendly staff and reasonable rates. Golf course is beautiful with some very challenging holes. Course has good rates with discounted rates for hotel guests. The staff there is also excellent.
