Inn at the Alpine

We understimated this place while booking. The room was immaculate and cozy. The bathroom was clean but shower pressure was slow. This motel is scenically located outside Manistee town near the River casino. The owner Tanya and her husband were accommodating and suprised with 200ml bottle of wine for her birthday. I appreciated these folks for not gauging during memorial weekend which earned my respect.

This motel has a cute retro feel when you see it from the outside, but everything in the rooms are very up-to-date. Rooms are spacious and clean with coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. The breakfast was very good, with freshly made pancakes and biscuits and gravy and yogurt/granola parfaits, along with locally made breads, jams, and jellies. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable! I would recommend a stay here to anyone!

I booked this room looking for an "economy" hotel for a fishing trip I was going to at Portage Lake and was incredibly impressed at how spacious, updated, and most importantly CLEAN this place was. Looks like a very family friendly place too. Incredible value. I never take the time to write recommendations (good or bad), but wanted to give this place a 5 stars

Desk service is great and friendly. The rooms are well kept. It's not the Hilton, but for a budget motor lodge you'll get a good night's rest or a place to stay between rounds of golf!
