Riverfront Event Center and Hotel

This is a fantastic hotel, walking distance to great bars and restaurants right in the heart of Yankton. The beds are comfortable and the building is super cool and historic. The staff were friendly and had good recommendations for things to do in town.

Attended a wedding reception here. Ran out of food, food was cold, and a there was a very awkward and embarrassing several minutes for the bridal party when they arrived to sit at the head table and there were 4 too few chairs to seat everyone. On a positive note, the place was pretty.

Beautiful venue, but don't book your event here if you want your guests to be served their dinner on the same day your event is occurring! Very disorganized, unaccountable cater staff. Dinner served hours late! I am sure this isn't what the bride and groom signed up for when they booked this venue. Hopefully, the owner is gracious and savvy enough to return the couple's money. Definitely will not recommend this venue to other couples looking to book a wedding venue. What a shame as the venue itself is lovely.

I would recommend not booking an event here. You have to fight for services promised to you in their contract, they are hard to get ahold of, and they will try to blame you for everything to make themselves look better. Their food is good but their service is slow. I paid for 4 servers and only received 3. The venue is beautiful but there are just too many problems with the owners/staff.

DO NOT book an event here!!!! I can't rate this place low enough. Horrible service. Recently went to a family wedding there. Dinner was over 2 hours late , microphones don't work, service nonexistent, to name a few.
