River Rose Hotel

The Davenfort suite was really beautiful. High ceilings, bar, full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, the works... It's right in downtown and the locals were friendly and quiet. Definitely would stay again!

Stayed in a two bedroom suite. Had a fantastic view over main street. Rooms were furnished amazingly. Was basically like staying in a posh apartment.

My wife and I stayed there last weekend ,and I will say this,we have stayed at the magnolia hotel in Houston.Beacon Hill hotel in Boston and Archer House in Northfield,just to mention a few.I plan on going back again,If the room had a few cob webs...all the better,this building was built in the 1800's.If you want square box rooms with aluminum windows and 8 ft ceilings,I recomend Holiday Inn,If you want a really cool place to stay this is the place.I mean comon I had the original bank vault in my room !!!!!

I wish I could give NO STARS! Seriously, this place was gross... There were cob webs ALL over the stairs, it was hot and sticky in the place we were staying and if you are bringing at least more than one bag, bring a fan! you will sweat going up at least one flight of stairs then you have to do it ALL over again on the next flight... they bring you breakfast in the morning and thats very nice, but everything was rubbery and it tasted nasty! I do not recommend going there anytime soon, i agree with the person below on saving money and to go to a Holiday inn which i had to do one out of the two nights i stayed because i had such an horrible experience. And you would think they would be nice enough to refund your money because of such a dump as it was and how terrible my experience was there, but no they said we already gave you a discount.. and i asked them for what? and they said we had you down for 4 nights instead of two... REALLY?? are you kidding? thats your fault and you admitted it??! OH AND if you think there is a checkout counter you will be disappointed because hopefully you saved the lady's phone number, you have to call her to open the door because they are NEVER there... i would never go here again. NEVER ew just thinking about it makes me have the heebie geebies!
