Our favorite place to eat in Campbell River. Food is always delicious. Staff is very friendly. We have never been disappointed. My personal favorite is their seafood linguine.
Almost went to chain next door but stumbled into this gem instead. They're great! Open late on a Sunday. Nice service, cool indoor and outdoor spaces. My oyster burger and peppercorn penne were very good!
Only take three pints of Hoyne Dark Matter to get me to 0.053! MJ is my DD so I’m in good hands… I hope All pubs and clubs in the lower mainland should have one of these breathalyzers installed at the front entrance. The shrimp is great. We are so hungry we just devour the whole plate before taking a picture, ha! The salmon tacos are easy to eat but the beef dip is even better IMO. The beef is tendor and the flavour from slow roast and smoke just put the whole dining experience to another level. When I am done eating the beef dip my mouth feels lonely again
Great spot! Swell location, RealReal great service, fabulous food. It's my local. Have done the research in Campbell River and this is it. Firmly recommended. For stars because there's always room for improvement.
I had an amazing experience. The service was great and quick. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. The food...wow. We had the seafood linguini, the black and blue burger and the muscle and clam plate. The alfredo seafood linguini was spectacular, creamy and the perfect portion size. The black and blue burger was juicy and what a true canadian burger should be. If I lived in the community, I'd be back often. Oh and the carmel Cheesecake. Get it.
The food was really good , good flavours , got caught up in a nice conversation with the person beside me so no pics but Jim the bartender was great too!
We dropped by here for dinner tonight and it was a decent experience. They pour a good pint of Guinness, and the calamari is really good. The fish tacos are flavourless, and not good. The chicken blt wrap is meh. My friend also have the black and blue burger, which is huge but only okay. Very messy to eat. Good place to grab a drink and some appies but wouldn’t return for mains.
I ordered the pan seared Mahi Mahi, it came out raw in the middle and actually frozen in the middle. The seafood chowder had a “smell” to it, but I passed it off as “it’s just my nose”, but I’ve been so sick the last 2 days from this, and I know it wasn’t anything else I’ve eaten. Look at the picture of it, I shouldn’t have eaten it! Definitely would not recommend, go to Moxies , at least there they would give you a fresh piece of fish, at this restaurant mine came back to my table in the two pieces that I had sent back to the kitchen.
Atmosphere was nice. Buzzing with people on a weekday night. The prawn appetizer we got was underwhelming considering it had a fancy Japanese name to it. The nachos were just so so too. Didn't get to take photos or the food, just the pint of beer lol will consider going back next time to order mains instead of appetizers/shared dishes and will review again then.
Service was good, food was good except my garlic toast tasted more like buttery bread. Garlic toast is pretty easy to make but perhaps it was a one off My husband had the "black and blue" burger and it was tasty. Sincerely, Ms. Fancy Google Reviewer 5 million + picture views
