Much nicer than when I was a kid, mostly cause the trees are large enough to provide shade. There's a playground, picnic shelters, beach, boat launch and camping spots.
Park is open April 15th to October 15th, but closes during winter months. There's a day use fee for non-campers ($5 at the time of this post). Applies whether you're visiting people, fishing, hanging out on the beach or launching a boat.
Camping facilities are pretty barebone. No wifi, showers, or flush toilets, but there is drinking water available. Camping fees for 2017 are: power $30, no power $20, day-use $5.

Pretty good. Kinda getting mundane

With the new camp hosts in place go here if you want to be verbally attacked and have unwarranted confrontations. We have been regular visitors for over 13 years and have never in our life been treated so horrible. This place use to be amazing place to go such a shame!
